I was out watching the kids play and my nieghbor's kid runs up to me and asks:

Kid: what do you car your car?
Me:...uh, what?
Kid: do you call it the super awesome mobile? because it's SUPER AWESOME!
Me: sure, you could call it that.

I got a good laugh because I didn't even have time to respond before the kid blurted out his thought of my car.

Shortly after picking up our wagon my wife and daughter went to pick up my mom for dinner. She was commenting during the trip something like this:

Mom: "Ya I like this seat, its comfy (she drove an Acura CL Type S for 5 years) and there is enough room even with Lauren (daughter) behind me.
Me: "We like it, always wanted one and its AWD with good crash ratings"
Mom: "You and your wagons!" (I've never owned a car with a trunk, 89 taurus, 96 pickup, 01 focus hatch, 04 xB)
Me: "Hah ya, well they are more useful..."
Mom: "Ya..."

somewhere about this time we were getting on the freeway and lanes were merging so I pulled it pretty aggressively in 3rd to get up to speed. Once we got in around 70mph and cruised with traffic:

Mom: *looks over at me for a sec* "This is like some kind of sports car huh??"
Me and wife: *grins*
Mom: "I KNEW that thing on the hood meant something was up!!!"

Wife and I don't buy "vanilla" type cars. She thought maybe we had settled down a bit with a "station" wagon but ultimately knew us too well to know that was remotely possible

i remember after the break in when i finally took my mom for a ride. we were having a casual conversation as i downshifted into 2nd to roll through ez-pass on the parkway. as soon as you can read "paid, thank you" i put the hammer down.

at which point my mother was screaming and holding on to anything she can grab. after i got up to 80 rather quick she told me to never do that again if i value my life

ah gotta love BOOST!

Got pulled over once in a hick town near San Antonio, TX and the cop was trying to write down what kind of car I had but he couldn't tell because I was debadged. He walks to the window and asks "So what kind of car is this......a Kia?" I wanted to laugh so hard.

Got a written warning once, and i swear the cop wrote down SBALU for the make

Thats just what it looks like lol, i dont really understand it though.. when the look up the cars plate doesn't it provide the make and model and everything?
