The Tribeca was definately Subaru's mulligan.

My favorite thing about Subaru, and the reason they have so much brand loyalty, is because every car they make is worth owning. I can't think of another car company that comes close to this. I guess I can overlook one bad car, its like disowning a relative.

Look at GM. I can't think of many cars that they make that I would actually lust for. Subaru has the WRX an Legacy and so on. They are cars that you actualy want to buy, where as I doubt many people who bought a Pontiac G5 would just look at pictures of it all day long, or lust after one. I doubt someone came to the Pontiac dealer and said "Oh wow I have wanted one of these for the longest time!"

For sure. I like Mazda's new ad campaign, they are trying to reflect the point we are discussing. "If its not worth driving, its not worth building."

Too bad Subaru has already been practicing this concept for well over a decade. Want a turbo Impreza, maybe a turbo Baja, how about a turbo Forester, possibly a turbo wagon? No problem, Subaru has got you covered! Maybe you like luxury and want a legacy turbo? Still no problem. What? That legacy needs brembos and a 6 speed, Subaru agrees. Not to even mention that AWD is standard on every model. I love it.

Raining here at the moment.. For ****s and giggles I tried to get the tires to break loose. I didnt get on it, but in my r18 civic, tires be spinning not cuz of power but cuz of lost traction. My dad ask me what Im doing beating the car. I said i just wanted to see if the tires will break lose. He said its AWD, its not gonna break lose. Awesome.. I still laugh when he saw the intercooler and asked me how often i gotta take it out to clean the filter..

That is spectacular. The tribeca voice reminds of the voice of one of the characters from action figure therapy

Thankfully they have distinguishing features.
But IMO they are far too similar.
How are they similar again?
The Tribeca has circular wheel arches, the Aztek has square arches.
The Tribeca has a one piece window design. The Aztek has a very visible C pillar.
The Tribeca has mostly smooth body lines that flow quite nicely from one end to the other. The Aztek's body is based on trapezoids.
The roof/rear window of the Tribeca slopes down just before SUV status. The Aztek decides to suddenly turn into a hatchback. Kind of.
The Tribeca has a one piece headlight design. The Aztek has a 2 or 3 piece headlight that doesn't look good from any angle. I can only see the side of it and I'm still reaching for a sharp object to help me unsee it.

Unless your talking about this angle.

Which you should have posted right away.

That's because the people who buy those cars don't know about cars and probably don't want to know about them. They see them as appliances, something that gets them from home to the office, to the grocery store, and back home. They don't see the fun of driving, and maybe see it as a chore or a job. They don't think it's fun taking the twisties on the way home from lunch or doing a *safe* 0-70+ pull while getting on the highway during their morning commute. Sure, as a passenger once it's all said and done, they might say "that was actually kind of fun!" but if they drive a 4 cylinder Chevy Malibu, they're not gonna be doing any of those fun things themselves. They'll see you as the fun and possibly dangerous driver that has a quick car with 2 radiators.

lol i would have never let that one go if it ever happened to me.

i was at the drive through at McDonalds and some doucher in a teg comes up behind me and gives a few revs...i heard a rattling noise and freaked for a sec and thought it was coming from my car. Turns out it was from the teg, sounded like his hangers were tapping the trunk or something. I really dont get why some people are like that, think they get off trying to be a wannabe macho alpha bro-dog.

VTEC just kicked in, yo!

On topic:

Coworker was in my car. I was merging onto the highway from the on ramp, shifting from 2nd to 3rd:
"Did your car just hiss?!"
Lol.

TurboXS BOV (installed on my car when I got it. Meh, I like it).

Bought my SRI, no heads were turned.... nothing....
Got my stage 2 tune.... Still nothing, even though it sounded beastly at this point.
Bought my Turbo XS RFL BOV and people wont ****. Everywhere I go people are shouting stuff like "your car is so sexy" or "sick car bro"

Not sure why the BOV turns heads like it does....
