I'm not sure why the 06 didn't count is his opinion.

I should note the "car show" I am referring to is called Crusiefest. The name should actually be Drunkfest, because that is what it is. Everyone camps for the weekend, parties, and girls show boobies for beads. The cars are crap, a whole lot of donks and crazy stereo systems. But it is such a free for all, its a blast.

It was at Kil-kare Raceway, and they just left the track open for free passes. No rules at all. We made a pass in my STI with no belts or helmets, my friend sitting shotgun with a half gallon of Black Velvet in his lap. I wasn't drunk yet, but I can't say the same for everyone else making passes. People weren't even waiting for other people to finish a pass, the next car would leave once you got half track.
im all for getting drunk and hanging out around cars, but driving at high speeds with no safety? no bueno..

I agree with it being god's way of saying sorry.

As far as driving at high speeds with no safety? I didn't launch at all or shift very fast, so it was only a 14 sec pass. Its legal at all tracks to have a passenger and not wear a helmet with that ET. I agree, probably should of wore a seatbelt.

Anyone ever watch Pass Time on Speed? People skip their helmets and belts all the time, its kind of rediculous. In cars that have roll cages even. I wonder how they get away with it?

Here is a pic of my friend, passed out in my car after security escorted us back to the camp site. Appearantly doing donuts in the grass is frowned upon.

no idea. ive never heard of anyone being able to get any track time in without a helmet or seatbelt. what's worse in my opinion is when people put cages in their street cars, do they understand that you're ****ed in a crash unless you wear your helmet everywhere you drive? haha

When drag racing, you don't need a helmet unless you run a 14.49 or faster. I agree with you about roll cages in street cars, makes me torn on what to do. I don't want to take me car off the street, but I am not going to be able to run come spring without a cage.

ohhh gatcha. i dont know much about drag racing, i just know that in autocross around here it doesnt matter how slow your car is you have to wear a helmet and obviously belts. do you need your cage for drag racing or other types of racing?

Drag racing, roll cage is required in anything that goes faster than 11.5

I plan to autocross too, my car is far from being purpose built for drag racing. I just have a drag strip 10 miles away, and it only costs $12 for the day.

sounds like a good deal. if you run under 10 dont you have to have a better cage, fireproof suit, etc? my buddies dad didnt want to have to do all that so he built his car to run 10 flat haha

I'm not sure where the safety requirements go up after 11.5. A fire jacket is required with the cage at 11.5 as well, I don't think a whole suit is required yet though.

I had a friends dad do the same thing. He put in a different rear gear to slow the car up enough to where he didn't need the added safety stuff. Old guys going slower because they are too lazy for a firesuit is funny.

It's also some cost to think about. Depending on what time bracket you're in do you wanna weigh in a few grand in expenses for the bragging rights of half a second or less? I find the same argument with ultra lightweight parts.

No!!!!! She deleted it! I knew I should have taken a screenshot.

^Another stupid status by her.

Edit: Wait, of the 3 street racers, or the status?

I'd imagine that it looked a little something like this.
