I've been asked 2 times already, owning the car for a year and a month XD

I've been asked so many times if it was turbo'd.

I've been told 3 times,"I thought it was an STI."

I've been told my 05 obp STi wasn't an STi because it wasn't wrb, even though it still has all the badges.

I always get BS like "Damn man is that an STI?!?!?!?!" And I'm all like
"No, a WRX"
And at that point either I lose them, or they insist it's an STI, so I just say yes lol. If they say otherwise, then it turns into a conversation.

Female mid 30s at Albertsons parking lot, looks at my rear window:
"What's the Scoobies for Boobies" sticker mean?

Me: "It's just something the female Subaru owners threw together to raise breast cancer awareness."

Her: "Oh well that's nice! Does that mean I have to show them or something now?"

(Her husband was standing next to her laughing after she said that too)

I get that too lol.

People used to call my bugeye a racecarů And then few days after I picked up my 2012, some guy yelled at me saying that street racing is illegal. This was from across the parking lot while I was leaving work.

Do people insist that a wrx is some sort of muscle car? I know they are not some bland corolla, but both of my WRX's were relatively low key.

Admittedly, the 2011 and 2012 WRX's don't LOOK that low-key. They kind of have all the body-work that screams out a little bit. Not that I mind - at least it's a good job.

I'd say the WRX captures the spirit of the Nova SS - take an economy car and make it fast.

I have the same sentiment, but I would not yell across a parking lot to some young adult because of it. It caught me completely off guard.

At my old job as a valet in Boston, my co worker asked me about my exhaust. I told him is was a TurboXS. He replies," Wait, so your telling me, that you got a turbo.... in your exhaust....?"

That's word for word what he said, I'll never forget that one.
