In-n-out drive thru guy: *does a double take and looks at the scoop* "Hey, STi??!"
me: *lowers head* "nope, WRX"
In-n-out guy: "aww well"

- on a side note as I pull out of the drive thru a nice black lambo pulled up behind me.

Over the last couple days, me and a friend have been doing some major yard work. We decided the bushes out front needed to come out and something else put in. Pulling these things out by hand was not going to happen, so we decided to tie rope around them and use my WRX to pull them out. Seemed legit. I proceed to get the tow hook out and get a fancy little knot going, and it actually worked quite nicely. (I've earned my gardening badge now, right?) One bush left and my uncle decides to roll on over in his truck and say:

him: "Want some help? I don't want you to hurt your car. I do have the truck, you could've just asked me."

Me: "No thanks. I've already gotten the other 3 out myself, it'll be fine. The tow hook is in, so its not like I'm attaching the rope to my car."

Him: "You need more than just the hook. 2 wheel drive isn't gonna really get you anywhere in the grass and dirt..."

Me and friend: -face palm- "Its AWD..."

I then pull the final bush out, drag it away, and wave him off. I think he was offended that I didn't use his truck...

Pull into the stealership service entrance driving the wrx

Get out of car, approach tech who watched me pull in:

"Hi, what can I do for ya?"
"I need an oil change"
"Oh okay, is that a turbo?"
.. car is right there

"Um, yes. It is."

To most people it's just a job.

I hate my job at the moment and I could care less about the things I sell. That is like 99% of the people who work at dealers. They need to know how to fix it, not to identify it by seeing the front end.

You went to the dealer for an oil change? Is it still under warranty or did you just feel like not doing It your self?

After a ghetto cruiser with color changing lights underneath drove by, my wife told me that I should put some under my car. I told her that I want a divorce, because I can't be married to a ricer. She says that she was kidding, but I think she really does like them.

One thing I learned while in college was that it's better to have something that ladies perceive as "cute". Apparently their use of the term is FAR... FAR wider and different than how men use the word. Same deal with when women get offended when we use the term "gay" to describe things - it doesn't necessarily mean "homo", especially when talking about inanimate objects. That aside, when I do get girls calling my car cute, or anything I own, I respond with "do you want to pet it?". 'Cute' is a term I associate with things like puppies, not cars, but again, women use the word differently.

In all honesty, even though I would NEVER in my lifetime put them on my WRX - I think, done right, on the right type of car, it looks amazing. Now I'm gonna get a lot of crap for this, but I went through a phase in late high school and put on underbody lights on my '05 Impreza (now belongs to my younger brother). Yeah, in retrospect it was kinda dumb, but they do look sweet. I think a few people need to get off their high horse and understand that different people like different things. Just because it looks "rice" to you (or even everyone else) doesn't mean someone can't like it. Yeah, the ones that do race around like idiots bring a bad name to the rest of us, but that doesn't necessarily have to apply to a few people who are just honestly modding their car in the way that they think looks best (as long as they aren't ******** about it - which in all fairness, a lot of them are).

Idk the whole "cute" word I'm used to it now. But it still bugs. Like my girlfriends sister. Called my car cute and I just looked at her and my girlfriend jumps all over her saying "no don't call his car cute"
Sister-"why I like it?"
Girlfriend- don't demasculate his car!
Sister-oh hehehe
