FWD Subarus were sold up until '96, and the poster's car is a '99. It really wasn't an outlandish question.

If you want to do handbrake turns, buy an STi. The handbrake decouples the center diff so it doesn't get damaged during handbrake turns. (Also makes it so you can do a burnout, but I can't officially recommend that.)

The shop had worked on my car before. So I was surprised that he didn't know. It was their first time towing my car so it does make sense to just check. And yeah I feel so sorry for anyone who accidentally didn't use a flat bed.

Accidentally? Tow trucks have instruction books from AAA. No excuse for incorrect tow.

Honda people have that habit of giving you daily examples of why you dont want to buy a honda if you are an enthusiast (not including the fact they dont make a single car that interests anyone anymore).

Around here in vegas most honda people are kids who can't afford anything more or are the trashiest people you have ever seen.

Friendly older guy at the pump driving a newer Corvette:"Nice Suzuki! Is that an automatic?"

The other day I was talking to my co-worker's husband. After telling me that he used to be able to "spin all 4" on his 2007 Civic before he put his new Falkens on (let all that sink in...), he then asked if I bought an STI. I told him I didn't, and he replied with "I'd have to have one - you get better suspension, better tranny, and I'd want the added grip from the all wheel drive."

He was very surprised to hear the WRX came standard with AWD lol.

After he left, his wife told me how he won't hold a steady rev on the highway so he can hear his intake and exhaust, and how she hates riding with him because she can hardly hold her head still lol.

What is ironic is that your "jap" car is more likely to be made in America than most of those so called "american cars"
