I think I've already said it....

but I went to a subie stealership to get parts and of course when I get out of my car, a salesman tries talking to me.

...blah blah...

Salesman: "what kind of car is that (pointing to mine)?

Me: "an impreza......."
(2001 impreza L)

....more blah blah....

Them he tried to offer/show me a '12 STI for sale with 5,000 miles, and I barely look 16 years old (I'm 18 ).....

Me: "thanks but I'm actually here for a fuel filter. I do hope to buy a WRX/STI one day though."

Never went there again lol.

Brother's friends run up to see my car as I'm pulling out for a cruise.

One of his friends asked me if I had 4 pedals. I pointed out the gas, brake clutch, and foot rest.

he responded "Yeah, 4 pedals"

O.o

Local dealership has a used 2011 WRX on the lot I stopped by to look at. I asked the salesman what trim level it was and he said hold on theres a paper in the windshield that has all the info. He started reading off the list on the paper. He read off the basic facts then said 4 cylinder turbo with 150hp. I just looked at him and told him they may want to change that it has 265 hp if i remember correctly. He said oh ok thanks I will jus let you look at the car since you obviously can tell me more about the car than I can tell you.

About a year ago, these "friends" of my brothers were standing around a coupe C320, looking for the "kompressor" (which didn't exist on the 320 on 230's) They all had flash lights standing under the hood looking for the turbo

I'm assuming hes not the first
If I remember right back in the late 80's Subaru had an advertising campaign with that dude from Crocodile Dundee, who was Australian. It ran for a few years I am sure someone can google it lol

You're right. That's where a lot of people get the idea Subaru is Australian. When I first brought my hatch home my parents asked how an Australian car would hold up. They were surprised when I said its Japanese. After their first ride in it with me they said they didn't care where it's from and nicknamed it "the little beast. "

My wife has now taken to calling my WRX the "super"roo after navigating our way through a pretty major snow storm a couple weeks ago.

I'll probably get some crap for posting this here but oh well. This is just kind of a funny story. Last year I went to the rally races up in Wellsboro, PA. Took a friend with me that's really into subarus and we were both pumped about getting up there and just being around all the cars, subaru in particular. So we leave at about 6 am cause the first stage was at like 9 and its a good 2+ drive. It never dawned on us though that my car was on multi spoke 18s, street tires, drop springs, and a shiny wax job. So we roll down off the mountain scraping the ground, dodging pot holes, and whatever else. When we finally pull up to the fair grounds..... I never felt so out of place. Everyone had huge fog lights, flaps, aggressive tires, stock ride hight if not lifted a little, and mud all over. Pretty much all looked like they do this for a living.
(I took that photo btw, crappy non smart phone pic)
They all just stared like WTF are you doing. It was a great time though!!

That Panamera would eat you, assuming he didn't get the base model...And he certainly shouldn't if he has another Porsche...

I typed those exact words and then decided not to post haha.

Surprising Jeremy on top gear loved that car. It looked like it was a blast to drive on the track

My brother and dad raved about the car, they absolutely loved everything about it except the looks...And I agree. They said the launch control was incredible. Enough of a shock for my brother to half swallow his gum and start choking
