**My friend and I talking about Subaru's on the drive back from something, and there was a wrx in front of us.

"So tell me what's up with everyone putting those (pointing at the wrx in front of us) stupid ass mud flaps on??"

Uhm, you know I have mud flaps too?

"Ohh....
...WHHYYY?"

I had to explain to him that some do it for the look, but some of us wouldn't have any paint on/around the side skirts without the mud flaps.

Not Subaru related but still pretty funny,

I was in the back seat of my girlfriends Sentra and for some reason her younger sister was driving and said "I found a turbo-boost button" and proceeds to hit the Overdrive button and accelerates harder.

Gave me a good laugh.

Same thing happened with the kid in my Engineering program. Only he called it the NOS button and L stood for lambo mode. Also constantly tries to race me

Driving a couple of my girlfriends friends home from the bar. They're pretty hammered in the back seat when the one girl asks

"whats that clock in the middle of the dash doing, it just keeps changing time"

I look at my girl in the passenger seat and she just laughs and we continue on.

The "clock" she was talking about was my AFR gauge fluctuating

Haha, some of us I would be so screwed without mine.

And to add to the thread, this is just something badass that happened to my gf when she was driving my car.

She gets home and was like:
"Yeah, I thought I was going to get pulled over, but the cop car pulled up next to me, I looked over and the female cop actually gave me a thumbs up!"

My subie is loud, she probably wasn't driving it slow (she loves driving my car) and she was in long beach (the cops pull you over for anything they can think of.

Whenever someone asks to see my ID for a credit card, I always reply, "It should match, I stole the whole wallet."
