whats the higher end common cars in your area?
Benz, Bimmer, Lexus, Infiniti, Acura are the most common. A little Volvo, Audi and others are sprinkled in. Coasts are known to be dominated by imports, we're no exception. Cadillacs do pop occasionally but they're not that common.

Sarcasium it is. I know what Cultass and Regal are - my first car many years ago was a Buick Skyhawk.

Sitting at a red light today. There's a homeless woman on the side of the road panhandling.

Woman: That's the best car in Gran Turismo.
Me: Oh yeah?
Woman: Yeah, it's got the best handling.
Me: Oh nice. It's a blast to drive in real life too.
Woman: I like the color. It matches my nail polish. (shows me her nails)
Me: Why yes it does.

Light turns green and I drove off. A panhandler who loves video games and nail polish. Gotta love it.

I was going to the gym today and I got a spot right by the front door. I get out of my car and walk in and the kid behind the counter says "dude I love your car, it's like a pitbull"... I wasn't sure what he meant but I said thanks lol

A couple of the machines I go on at my gym are facing the front window to the parking lot and I like that I can work out while looking at my car thinking of what mod to do next. It's a little OD.

Ultimately, it's a luxury performance sedan and not a track car - the gearing on the ATS is probably set up for highway driving, yadda yadda, so if I had to bet without knowing actual lap times I'd bet on the WRX... but the ATS sounds pretty reasonable on paper.

Of course, you can buy TWO WRXs for the price of that ATS, but sometimes you want to have little amenities like a nice interior that doesn't rattle continuously . I bought a Subaru though, so you can take that as my personal preference in the luxury vs performance tradeoff.
I'd love an ATS. It's a shame they don't offer the V6 with the 6 speed transmission. They are super pricey though, but you can get some really nice options like the magnetic ride that comes in the CTS-V.

That would make me nervous about parking near Michael Vick.

I could see it if you have a sedan front end. The front being wider like a pitbulls shoulders.

When ever im visiting my parents and they happen to have other company over my mom insists i take them for a ride so they can hear my car make the "patcheeww" sound.

Then my father proceeds to tell them his sons station wagon "dummies the kiddies in thier hondas" and "its got an airplane engine you know" referring to the boxer. Doing the "the pistons go this way" thumb gesture.

Gotta love my legacy wagon lol.

Same here, my parents just make fun of my car.

Like today we were at cedar point waiting inline for the top thrill dragster when they announced that they had a problem with it and it would be shut down for a little bit. My dad then says "well maybe instead they should call it the top thrill sti if it's going to spend as much time being repaired as it does running"

If yours is being repaired that often and he's honest. You have a problem. My dad personally loves my car and he sure loves the turbo feel over his 08 forester. He burns my gas though, the dick.

That's actually pretty funny. My Dad is the same way but not as creative as that

I spent the night at a teammates(endurance kart) this weekend in West Virginia and found 4 chevys in his driveway and a camaro in the garage. His dad was givin me all sorts of crap about the hood scoop, airplane wing and "helicopter engine." Asked me the usual questions, and if it was fwd... all in a friendly kind of way. Hes a real american muscle kind of guy

Then the next morning on our way out, I find that his camaro has a v6

Two guys looking at my car this morning while I was eavesdropping...

Guy 1: Nice car huh?
Guy 2: eh, I guess at least it's an STi.
Guy 1: what do you mean?
Guy 2: Well, an awd sports car? I mean, come on what's the point?

I just laughed...

Repaired, or built? It sounds to me like he has a hobby, not a problem...

I mean...a guy with an evo didn't even know what my car was...

I had a guy driving a BRZ flag me down while driving on the road to ask if it was a Subaru.
