About a month ago we got a great snow storm that rolled through utah. Dumped about a foot on the 20 mile canyon that I drive home. It was late, plows run much less frequently. I stopped at a gas station right before I got into the canyon to fill up. Guy in a HUGE lifted F-350 diesel with Texas plates starts laughing at me.

Guy: Yeah, good luck making it up the canyon in that little car
Me: Well, that's what I bought it for
Guy: Should've bought a real mans vehicle.
Me: Guess you're probably right
Guy: Well I'm going to enjoy laughing at you when you're stuck on the side of the road.

Guy takes off. I took my time, checked my oil, washed my windows, finished pumping the gas. Had a bit of fun in the canyon, not crazy, but spirited. As I come up to Parleys summit, I see hazard lights on the side of the road. I start slowing down to see what had happened. There in the ditch is a HUGE f-350. the same guy that was giving me hell at the gas station. Guy flips me off so I keep driving, looking at my cell phone and realizing there was no service where he was. I drove the 3 miles to my house, got in my lifted F-350 with a winch, drove back to the guy and winched him out.

Guy: (Awkwardly) Thanks, it got icy back there. How'd you make it in your honda?
Me: I don't drive a honda. I drive an AWD subaru. I made it because I've been living in the snow since I can remember and my car is one of the best cars in the snow and ice. I only came back to help you because getting a tow in these parts is hard at this time of night. Let this be a lesson to you not to judge a book by it's cover.

I got back in my truck and drove off.

so Evo X gen's raly art is AWD but prior too is FWD right? If so my GF should start liking Impreza's more so she can get an 05.

Swimaway, to add insult to injury, you should have pulled him out in your Subie.

Probably could have done it, but might have caused some issues with the transmission.

Not sure on prior gens, but believe that is right. The wife wanted sporty, AWD and fun to drive. This popped up and was $25k less than an x-drive 3-series (good thing, because we can't afford that anyway... but she's always wanted one). She loves her car. I like it a lot as well.

I like your idea on paper but it would have looked even worse if her broke his car trying to pull the F-350 out of a ditch. Our cars are pretty frigging amazing but I don't think they're that amazing.

Getting his truck and not being a dick about the whole thing was the right move.

Even weirder is that if I'm getting this right, all the Lancers are AWD now. Maybe that'll be the next car for my wife.

Looks like only the SE and ralliart get AWD, according to their website. The ES and GT get FWD.

Yeah, saw that afterwards. Still the SE doesn't seem that bad, better than my wife's Corolla.

I needed to change my oil one day, I also had work that day. I work at a pizza shop so I have to touch food and motor oil and food doesn't taste good. I went to my local high school got a free oil change from my slightly younger friends. The autoshop teacher asked me "when did ford started making awd cars let alone cars that look sexy again?" the other kids in there were being ******** about other little things like stainless steal exhaust and motegi "racing" rim center caps, but the teacher was being serious and it caught me off guard.

Met up with friends from HS not to long ago, guy from group of friends with his "turbo'd rsx" talks like he knows my car inside and out. Btw im only sharing because i was amazed by the huge load of dumbass i found in his statements.
Please follow along.

So after a few(drinks) he says this:
Your only making like 200 at the wheels. (btw my car is protuned, i even offered to show him my dyno graph)
The wrx came in two models one turbo and one non turbo (talking about the wrx sti and my wrx)

During the drive to the local-late-night donut store, which i was the designated driver:

Do you have an exhaust?
1
"i have a downpipe and catback, so yes"

Really? because my downpipe when my rsx was turbo'd doesnt sound like that, watch ill show you what a real downpipe sounds like.

"ok, but i thought you took off your turbo?"

2
I know hella more car people then you! I've been in the car scene since HS, ask all your car friends, they know me!(he kept repeating this like it meant something)

"ok, do you track your car"

yeah!

"what track and what was your laptime"

....dude my homies track they **** you up

"but do you?"

yeah, hell yeah!

"what track?"

(changes subject)

"I dont really care if your homies can **** me up, but im willing to put money down ill beat your slammed-turbo-rsx around a circuit"

gets mad.

3
You got a wrx because it was all your mom could afford!
"ok, and who paid for yours?" ( i dont want to talk at this point, kind of annoyed, hes getting combative, incase your wondering i've been in car sales since i was 18 mitsu/subaru/nissan)

4

Hey why doesnt danny(my cousin) drive his sti anymore?

"Because it blew up"

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT IT DIDNT BLOW UP ITS STILL THERE.

"the motor blew"

You can't blow a stock sti motor, dude ****

"when your running e85 pushing 400hp on motor you can"

Nah man

(You have no idea how bad i wanted to pull up a nasioc thread right then)

You dont even have awd you just have fwd

"Dude, i work for subaru, are you telling me you know more about my car than I do?"

So this could go on for awhile, but i would just like to add: He got into a heated argument in the car with the two other people in the back:
1) because someone told him this is why we dont hangout with him, him being combative and pushy, he got very butt hurt
2) because one friend who trying to keep the peace.

THEN:
WHEN WE REACHED THE DONUT SHOP, he immediately picked a fight with the first person he saw, trying to "prove" himself.

After the friend trying to keep the peace held him back and we all did our part, He started to pick more fights, friend trying to keep peace loses his patience and punches whatever was near him.

We end up not getting donuts and just taking everyone back to the house, he goes home basically ruining our night.

Friend who punched the wall ended up fracturing his arm in two places, for the third time.

I was leaving a gas station and I saw three people in a honda accord looking at my car. When I went to leave I saw the guy in the back spinning his finger motioning for me to do a burn out.

This is the 3rd person who has done this and it drive me crazy because 1) we all know AWD can not do a burn out. 2) People think I should risk getting a ticket, ruining my tires, and possibly break something on my car for them to enjoy 30 seconds or less of smoke because they are a F**king useless pos?

I was pulling out on to the road to leave until I got too annoyed and drove into the gas station entrance beside me and got out of my car and proceeded to walk over to the honda.

I walked to the window that was put down then said to all three people

"I'm going to teach you something about cars. That is a all wheel drive car. It can not do a burn out, all it will do is accelerate forwards. So even if I wanted to do a burn out the car wont."

" Secondly unless you are going to pay for a new set of tires the next time you tell some one to do a burn out keep you f**king mouth shut."

Then the drive said "Naw man you car is so awesome it can drift like crazy I saw it do it before" His tone sounded 100% serious but I'm sure it was just him trying to kiss ass
