Sorry to offend you with my typo..

Check out this link if you dont believe me about the 190Wheel Horse Power on an almost stock Bugeye. Its a post about a Vishnu uppipe swap with dyno numbers and its linked to by unibomber on his uppipe thread.. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=395213

I've read places that a bugeye stock had 189 hp, then I've read places that it has 227. I'm confused myself.

All I know is that my modified bugeye has ~240 HP, ~260 Tq. (Depending on the dyno of course)

Default Funniest phrases/questions you've heard about your Subie II

225 at the crank, stock.

190 to the wheels seems like a very low drivetrain loss.....I always thought it was closer to 170-180 or so (20-25% loss).

I finally have one!

A piss-drunk homeless man just told me, "sick car man! I love these things!". I replied "thanks bud! I appreciate it!". As I turn to leave, not thinking he knew anything about them, I overhear him saying to his friend,"yeah, man, these things are fast! 265hp, awd....". ʘ_͠ʘ DAFUQ?!

Just had two 20ish year olds at the gas station nicely ask me if my WRX had a turbo. As I quickly explained " hood scoop on a Subaru usually means it has a turbo", rushing because I didn't want my wife sitting in the hot car too long, they replied "your car was quiet when you pulled up we didn't hear your turbo". I explained it is quiet because I have quiet exhaust, and was about to nicely strike up further conversation when they douch-ily say "it's no R29!" then boned out...
I know this is a common story, but it literally left me with a dropped jaw and lost on what the f*ck a r29 is...

if you check the link it lists 188 for stock whp (A dyno number). I figured mine is a little more powerful than stock at this point.

Back on topic..

Whenever I visit my parents and warm up my car my mom will ask two or three times, 'why do you let that thing run? its not good for small engines!' . -_- . Doesnt matter if I explain or not, finally told her to search the internet.

Finally have something to contribute!

Just happened a few hours ago, I was talking to a coworker when he says "do you know who drives that blue hatchback honda in the parking lot? I see it every day, I didn't know Hondas could look that good. (Me) I actually drive it, but it's not a honda, it's a Subaru...." I died a little bit inside haha.

I had a younger kid bring his evo in for some troubleshooting. Out of curiosity I asked what he had done to the car and if it was stock turbo. His response was, "no, I have a stage 1 blow off valve and a stage 4 clutch tuned at 370hp."

Needless to say that was the end of that conversation..........

You were clearly switched with another baby in the hospital before your parents brought you home. I hate to be the one to break it to you, let them love their muscle cars while your subi tears up the road!

Your theory would be sound if i didnt strongly resemble them all. Maybe i am just proof of the evolution theory, i have evolved to be more automotively well rounded.
