Guy at my job: ya know, I'm not
impressed with turbo cars. I had a dodge daytona, and it wasn't all that great..

Me: that's not the same as my car...

Other guy: how not?!

Me: ughhhhhhh

I was driving with my friend the other day when a 2009-ish STI wagon passed by.

Me: “That’s similar to the car I’m planning on getting (2012 WRX). Same body, just not spec’d-out as well.”
Friend: “It looks nice! Is it…a hybrid…or something?”
Me:

Then I had a good laugh about it before explaining that there are a whole slew of stories like that on this forum, how this thread is preparing me for comments like that, and how our conversation was going to end up on here soon.

Default Dumb dealer

I know this doesn't apply to my car but while I was searching for my wrx wagon I came across a dealer in NJ who had a silver one with a 5 speed listed with no price.

Me: hi I'm calling about the wrx wagon you guys have
Dealer: ok which one? We have 2 for sale
Me: oh your website only had 1 listed. How much for the silver 1?
Dealer: 9,500
Me: ok what color is the other one?
Dealer: black it's an 03 with xxx miles
Me: is it an automatic or 5 speed?
Dealer: they never made the wrx with an automatic it only comes in maual
Me: yes they did it's the sti that only comes in a manual
Dealer: ok well whatever, was they're something I could help you with?
Me: no I'm good thanks for your time
