I really love talking about cars. I always try going to car meets with different cars instead of just Subarus so I can learn more. At one of my old jobs I had a coworker who I'm still friends with, he drives an 04 mustang GT. Me and him always talked cars. He does drag racing with it also. In Bermuda I saw a legit Subaru van that was mad old. Presumably that means it was in England too.. its about half the length of that big Ford van

Dad: wtf his car sounds like ****? sounds like a misfire.
Me: no pops subaru's just have a different sound his car is fine.
Dad: look kid you're not fooling me there is something very wrong with that car!
Me: -______- dad lemme get you another beer.

i now have a bugeye myself and my father no longer thinks they all run like crap.

Adam Ferrara is a bad actor
Tanner Foust is bearable but had a Richard Hammond quality, he's never going to be the star of the show.

It is just poorly executed, I personally don't mind The Car Show, because Adam Carolla is funny and so is Matt Farah. Top Gear USA, Australia are massive fails because the guys that do Top Gear UK have been together for a long time and are best friends. They are hilarious and they have huge money because BBC knows the show had a cult following so they can afford to do cool things

Go back and re-watch Seasons 1 and 2 of the UK show. It's similar to how the Aussie and US show are now. I'm giving them a chance to develop into what Jezza, Captain Slow, and Hamster are to the rest of the world.

Remember that 99% of the US (NASIOC excluded), prob haven't even heard about Top Gear before it came to the US. As long as it gets the viewership and support from the History Channel (hell if they can make IRT a success, Top Gear is easy) it'll be just dandy in a season or two. This season is miles better than S1, and I can't wait to see season 3.

I do agree to a certain point. The first few seasons of UK were alright, minus the fat man that May took over for, but at that time it was untested waters. It was a new concept to the world. Whereas US and Aussie are just pure copies and maybe it's just me, but it's not original to me. I actually have fun watching TG UK where TG US I have actually turned off a few times. My girlfriend loves TG UK and despises TG US. I am defiantly a minority who has seen every single episode at least 5 times, but it still lacks something that TG UK has. Maybe it's just the English charm haha

Also there's a TG Russia which was terrible.

My friends / family don't mind the US one because the cars hit a little closer to home. Rather than some cheap British car that we never go here, everyone has seen a Roadmaster, or a Dodge with a house on the back.

yeah maybe thats part of why the uk is so appealing. So many strange euro cars we'll never see. Also, even though old UK episodes may not have had huge budgets or anything, they were subdued and well thought out. US just jumped in headfirst trying to be as good as, and it just doesnt work.. for me at least. Although I want to see the US episode that mentions our pokey motoring website

I had like 3-4 random people at work mention that my car was on TV. I was like "WTF?".

Them:"It was this show with three guys and cars, I think there's a UK version."
Me: "Oh you mean Top Gear?"
T: "Yeah! Your car vs dirtbike, it was nuts!"
