I might have missed it but are there any alignment specs I should follow after mounting a set of 265 or 275/35/18 18x9.5 38-44 et ? I'm not planning to lower the car. Thanks

You should use factory alignment settings (or something close to them) if possible, for best long-term tire wear. In my opinion, running crazy alignment settings just for the purpose of tire fitment is a mistake.

17x8 +45, with a 235/45R17 tire. If you want to run a wider tire, a 17x9 wheel is good with something like a 255/40R17, but at a higher offset. +35 is too low.

Please, please take the time to read through the thread before posting new questions like this. Many of these questions have now been answered multiple times.

Couple quick questions. Looking for people with first hand experience for correct fitment. Widest rim and tire that fits on an 11 STI WITHOUT any suspension or fender modification. Just a straight swap of stock wheels. Thanks!!

Dan do you guys still have the Rota D 18x9.5 5x100 +40 in Flat Black in stock? I have a 2011 WRX OPB lowered on BC BR's with about a 1 finger gap and now the wheel wells are kind of swallowing the 17x8's so I'd like to stuff some meat under there. Do they come with the flat centercaps? I'm not a fan of the raised centercaps. I am trying to stay at a +40 or better offset with a 9-9.5" rim so there is little difference in suspension center line and null turn in while at the same time filling the well and bringing the wheel farther out for aesthetic purposes. The D's look like they would be a good choice. Let me know. Great thread.

I didn't see this anywhere in this thread so I wanted to ask you about hub-centric rings. I'm looking at 18x9.5 + 40 NT-03s which have a bore diameter of 73mm. You've stated the wrx has a diam of 56.1mm. Do you suggest using rings on a pure DD? Why or why not?

depends on tire size. don't expect to run much more than a 235/40.

You'll also need some form of camber control f+r.

Went with 17x9 +42 flat black rota grids using the stock wrx 235/45 tires and it came out looking great dropped on epic engineering springs.

-Whiteline rear swaybar / Kartboy endlinks (Nothing to do with tire clearance)
-Swift sport springs - 0.6 inch drop
-17x9 +35 enkei RPF1s

You will probably need to roll the rears.

I'll add my recently installed set up on 2012 STi:

19x9.5 +45 Volk ce28n bronze w/ 265/35 mich super sports.

Mach V crew did the install. Right now stock suspension. First, these wheels did not clear the front brembos. Required a 10mm spacer up front. None in back. No roll yet but it does rub with people in back or real hard dips in the road. Bc of the spacers had to get extended studs up front.

Going to have Mach install swift springs and rear fender roll this week. Even with the 19s there is still wheel gap. Dan took some pics of the original install I'll get pics up shortly. Bring on the 19 haters. I think they look great.

2012 sti hatch, daily driver in rainy Seattle. I'm shooting for reasonably stock handling but a bit more flush look would be nice. I really like advan rg-d's but saw in earlier posts in this thread that 18x9+45 don't clear the break calipers. With stock tires, how do the fitment issues of the 18x9+35 compare to the handling of 18x9+45 with 5mm spacers for these wheels?

Okay, these posts do not have anything to do with the topic. The topic is what wheels fit on the 2011+ WRX. Please refrain from posting about other topics here!

Plus, for the record, the 19x9.5 CE-28N weighs 19 pounds -- 1.5 pounds lighter than the factory STI BBS wheel.
