Looking to run Swift sport springs (0.6 inch drop front & rear ). 17x9 +35 RPF1s on my 2011 WRX. Ok so the tires I want to run (245/40/17s) fall at 2.4% over the 2% rule. I guess my only option would be a 245/45/17s ? And would I need a rear fender roll?

Let us know how it works out. Depending on your tire selection I'm thinking 255/35 could possibly get away without a roll with that offset and 265/35 will be borderline/might need a slight roll (assuming stock suspension). What suspension set up do you plan on running?

Could be a vinyl overlay on the emblem from "glilly" I think it is?

So I'm taking the leap, i ordered some rpf1s in 18x9.5 +38. Im on stock suspension so hopefully no roll required. Gonna run the factory 245s on them.

What would be the advantage/disadvantage of running 17x8 +35 offset or is it possible? I know the +35 isn't ideal but can get a pretty sick deal on a set of 17x8 Rota's +35 for my 2011 WRX

Turning radius will be reduced slightly.

You'll limit tire choices, but not enough to matter on the gr. if you want em, buy em.

Trying to learn without bugging you guys, but I'm too much of a tire/wheel noob

I have an '11 STI, so I have 18" wheels. I want to get new wheels/tires, but would like to go down to 17" with the biggest/widest tires I can fit without any fender mods.

I am going to run all season tires

Basically I'm asking what size tire and wheels can I get without fender mods on a 17x9 wheel. I don't know much about off-sets and camber...

Big wide tires but buying all seasons? That's a waste.

17x9 +42 and you can get away with a 255/40.

whats up guys? I have a 2011 wrx with Advan RCII 18x8.5 et45 with a 255 40 R18 tire. The front is perfect but the back i am rubbing over bumps and i do not want to roll my fenders. Is there anything i can do to get some negative camber in the rear?

Ok I shouldn't have said wide.

I don't want super low profile tires. I enjoy trying to jump railroad tracks at 50mph, etc. I don't want to worry about damaging my wheels.

With that said. What's the stock wheel width on the STI?

8.5. Don't jump **** on roads. You will end up breaking something regardless.

I'm serious. No wheel will support that and will eventually fail.

Read everything. couldnt find this set up. Will a 18x9.5 +38 RPF1 with 255/35/18 fit without rubbing on stock suspension? I plan on lowering the car later down the road but don't want to deal with rolling the fenders for the time being. or what a 245/40/18 be better? Thanks!!
