Don't know about Mavis, but I use a bartec scan tool as well as an OTC scan tool. Takes two seconds to do

Depends how low the car is. With no lowering, I don't think you'll need to roll. With the car very low, you might have to roll the rear.

I ordered some xxr 527s in 18x8.75 +35 with 235/40/18 tires and I'm lowered about 2 inches on coilovers. I'm running -2.5 camber in the rear. Will I have any problems fitting them? And if I do need a roll is it okay to drive a while with it rubbing? Like 1k miles?

I run 18x9.5 on 255/35/18s, stock suspension. As far as rubbing, I have to be driving the car hard, with passengers in the rear, and I have to hit a pretty good dip for it to rub. Otherwise no issues.

Right now im running esm 004 wheels 19x9.5 with a 38 offset with 275 30 continental extreme dw. Im at stock height right now absolutely no issues with firment. I have a 2011 wrx sedan i would only rub in the rear on freeway when i hit big dips. So i ended up rolling rear fenders flat now no rubbing at at.

I'd like to get on a group buy here on a set of RPF1s 17x9.5 +38 5-100 wheels, am considering getting 255/40R17 Z1 Star Spec or another brand tire on them. Would that wheel with a tire that size require any fender rolling or pulling? I'm still currently on stock suspension, but will getting coilovers, springs, swaybars, etc. in the coming years.

These are going to be my DD for the summer for the most part and I will be tracking occasionally as well, so I'd still like them to handle well in the track, as well as be comfortable for everyday driving. Any help or comments would be appreciated.

Rear rolls only since your tracking it anyways it will be good to do.

If you are running the 255's then why not get the 17x9 wheels - they should be lighter then the 17x9.5.

Tbh, the only reason is because I want the wheels in gold. The 17x9 would be black.

I hear ya. Discount Tire quoted me $195 each on the 17x9's. Gotta love the BRZ/FRS fitments. Hopefully it'll open up some more options to wide 5x100 wheels.

That's cheaper than that group buy. They want 1200 shipped

Hello - question on rims to my 2012 WRX. I can get the following winter rim/tire off craigs list. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/pts/3241047105.html

2008 Legacy GT Wheels
Blizzak ws60 tires 215/55/17
17x7
5x100
55 offset
Has TPMS from the GT

Questions:
-Will this bolt right up to my 2012 wrx no problem? I was worried about the offset.
-Will my Speedometer read correctly with these on?
-Will the TPMS work on the WRX?

Any other advice anyone can give? I've never owned a vehicle where i planned to swap rim/tires for winter - this is new for me.

Thanks,
Steve

I got quoted less than a grand, shipped. Perhaps you're talking about a different group buy

Nope you will have to roll and pull or go with stupid stretch tires

I have read a good portion of this thread and maybe I missed it but I want an expert opinion on running either 18x8 +45 or 18x8+37 with 245/40/18 rubber will fit with no rubbing and if there is any compromise in regards to steering feel/performance? I want the beefier look without going to a 9" wide wheel. I am told that 245 tire fits well on an 8" wheel?

The 2013 STI has the same body as all the other cars in this thread. Therefore everything in this thread applies to you, but with the additional note that your new wheels must clear your Brembo brakes.

Please read the entire thread before asking more questions.

Either one will fit, but neither will look very beefy.

They're pretty plump and doughy-looking on that narrow of a wheel. The STI comes with 245/40R18 on an 18x8.5" wheel.

Still not entirely sure if this setup will work. Offsets have me a bit confused.Ok so I'm planning :

Wheels - Enkei RPF1s 17x9 +35
Tires - Dunlop Star Specs 255/40/17
Suspention - GTWorx/Bilstein struts, RCE black "comfort" springs

Will there be any fender rubbing issues do you guys think? Roll needed?
