Hey guys, have a 2011 wrx sedan. Read a bunch of the thread and its awesome. Want to get an opinion on the right size tires to get for my ride:

Getting Falken RT-7M Wheels 18x9 5x114.3.
http://www.fkwheels.com/wheels/rt-7m
Getting wheel adapters to convert to the 5x114.3
Stock Suspension (might lower in future, doubt it)

The Falkens come in +40, +35 & +20 offsets. Which offset should I get to make the tires flush with the outside of the fender? Thinking 1" wheel adapter with a +35 or +20 offset but cant decide.

As for tires I am torn between 245/40 & 255/35.

Will I have enough room in the fender wells to avoid any modifications if I go with the 245/40 or 255/35? I dont want to roll the fenders but not objected to it.

Thanks in advance.

A spacer of that size with ANY of those offsets means the wheels will be sticking OUTSIDE the fenders, and certainly not with that much tire.

Stop thinking, and start reading.

Default I'm new, be kind please

Just want to get a definitive answer. I have a 2012 WRX and want to definitely go with 18" wheels. I'm thinking 18x8.5 +44 because there are a lot of options for colors and what not. I wouldnt be opposed to 18x9.5 +38 unless there are fitment issues.. What would be the best tire size for the 18x8.5 +44. I DO NOT want to roll fenders or anything else and don't want the tire stretched or anything like that, just a good fit. If the 18x9.5 +38 is an option then tire suggestions?

Thanks in advance guys

18x9.5 +38 you will most likely need a roll unless you stretch a narrow tire on there stay with the 8.5 if your againts the fender work

The absolute minimum offset I would get would be +40, but even with our thinnest 15mm bolt pattern adapter, you're still at +25. That's way-stick-out territory. It only gets worse from there if you wanted to go with a lower offset and/or a thicker spacer.

At +25 I'd probably go for the 245, to avoid to much grinding of the fender into the tire. The 255/35 is slightly shorter, but it's (obviously) wider.

At +25 you will have to roll the rear fenders for sure.

I have a 2008 wrx (ie no widebody) and I'm looking into getting a set of Rota Options 18x9.5 + 38 (hubcentric) with 265/35R18. I understand I'll have to rol fenders and I have a set of coilovers (BCs) so camber is adjustable in the fronts. How difficult will fitmet be of these wheels? I daily drive this car (60 miles 5 days a week to work and back) so I can't really have something that has an insane amount of rubbing, camber (2* or so max), or toe in, otherwise I'll be going through tires like none other. I've got a feeling that I'm just thinking a little wider then is possible for the car.

Any advice or opinions?

Side note: I do plan to go to the track but have also considered picking up a set of wheels dedicated to track use if these are completely inapproiate. Would also love some advice on that too. For the past year I've been running a set of 17x8 +45 NT03s on 245/45/17s that have worked pretty much all around (track/autox/DD), but I'd really like something wider and more aggressive.

School me then ....
Couple things different that pertain to wheel fitment besides the fact that one of them is wide body ...???
And OP knows and understands that his isn't wide body and he will have to roll ....
He's asking how difficult it will be to run this setup ....

Yeah... One is a widebody. Therefore the dimensions in relation to the wheel and various suspension components, including the fenders, is drastically different than ours..

Yeah he did ask a simple question... And he'll find more useful information and advice in the proper thread. It's like asking about wheels in an engine/powertrain thread... Whether he asked a simple question or not, scooby is 100% right in saying that it is not relevant to this thread. Even the OP agreed and moved on. But I'm done feeding the troll..

He's asking about wheel fitment in a "guide to wheel fitment thread ..."
Same idea and concept ....

And no I'm not trolling ... Just sick of people trying to be some sort of admin trying to control the forums .....
If people can't ask open questions then what more is there to discuss in a fitment thread that has over 50+ pages in it .... I'm sure everything has been discussed and answered ... I'm done ... Close this thread ....

It's not 'open' for questions of any kind, it is specific to 11+ models. And its not the 'same idea same concept'. Get a ****ing clue. No one is trying to be an admin, it was simply pointed out that he would find his answers in a different thread, and he agreed. Don't know why you are being so anal about it. If you want a thread where you can ask any questions for any type car, go to the general forums... You can't seem to understand simple concepts.

EDIT: Someone asked a question, he was pointed in the correct direction so that he may find the answer he's looking for. You're argument is completely irrelevant.

Sucks that I posted in the correct thread but still have no answers =\

At least here I was told to go somewhere else lol.

For the record I do feel I posted my question in an inappropriate thread which is why I moved to a different one. Although if you can help of appreciate a response either here or in the appropriate thread where I asked the same question.
