For the record I do feel I posted my question in an inappropriate thread which is why I moved to a different one. Although if you can help of appreciate a response either here or in the appropriate thread where I asked the same question.
Precisely. None of my comments were pointed towards you my friend, as most of us in this thread simply will not have the knowledge you require considering we own different vehicles :P

Do hope you find someone that can give you some proper advice! You could even try emailing Dan directly.

My buddy is rocking 18x8.5 +48 rotas on his 09 wrx ... Tires 235/40/18
It sits flush with his body/fenders , he doesn't have a roll and on coil overs .... He uses that setup for the track and DD, with no issues at all....
I'm sure if you wanted something more aggressive , it wouldn't be suited for the track but more for show .... You could prolly pull off a 18x8.5 +43 with slight fender roll and it would look super clean , DD , and still be track ready ...
Once you go with a 9" wide or more , it's gonna have alot of negative camber ... You'd be eating through tires too fast , so it would have to be dedicated track use wheels .... Just my .02

Anyone running 18x11's? I just ordered a set and would appreciate any specs on fitment.

offset?

its not out of the question, but the offset is going to have to be chosen very carefully for them to fit properly.

The OEM wheels I believe were 17x8 with 205/50/17, I just use those as my winters.

Thanks for the insight. Ya I'm pretty sure the wheels I'm looking at would simply be to wide to be practical at all. I'm not looking to spend money on a set of wheels just for show. I'm going to keep my eyes open for some 17x9's with a around a +40 or so offset and just lower the car a bit more to keep keep it clean.

Really stuck on what to put on my 13 wrx, I want a aggressive fitment with either 17 or 18s but not sure what size and offset. I've been seeing some people say I could do 18x9.5+35 without a roll on stock suspension with no rubbing issues. Can anyone give me a little more information on this? I do want a meatier tire if possible like 255, I'm a fan of performance and not stretch.

You might get away without a roll with a 18x9.5" at a +40 offset. At +35, you WILL need to roll, I have to roll my rears for my 18x8.75" +35. The 255s in a tire that runs wide like the super sports or star specs would fit the 9.5" perfectly, most other brands you'll need a 265 to fill the wheel.

Good info maybe if I do a +40 with ur size wheel and a 255 I'd be better off to avoid rub

I have a 2012 sedan and I'm set on 18x9.5 +38, im wondering what size tires I should use for a little stretch and not have my speedometer off by much. I know that 265/35R18 will have little effect on my speedometer, but I want a little more aggressive fitment. Any suggestions? Thanks!

there is absolutely no need to stretch tires for that fitment on your car. stretched tires on those wheels, will look extremely stupid.

just roll the rears and do the 265.

255/40R18 is slightly (1.2%) taller than the stock STI tire. 255/40R18 is slightly shorter, closer to the stock WRX tire (but still 1.2% shorter than the stock WRX tire).

255/35 will be 25.0" diameter, 0.3" shorter than the stock wrx tires. The 255/35 Hankooks will be slightly stretched on 9.5" wheels if that's what your after.

265/35's are basically the exact same diameter as stock wrx tires.

Sorry. They are 18x11 with a 20 offset. I know I will need to roll and possibly pull. Not looking for mega stretch either. Will have coils soon also. They are hopefully going on my 12' WRX sedan.

You will need to do major fender work sir and stretch the hell out of the rubber to fit them. Lower control arms to get the camber settings right. Even then its most likely going to be a challenge

The wheel is going to stick out an extra 71mm thats almost 3 inches from where the stock wheels sit

They will not fit. Period. Or they will look absolutely ridiculous once done. You're looking at major suspension work and custom bodywork i.e fenders. You can pull the stock ones all you like they still won't be flush...
