Default Anyone fix the window squeak on their own?

I searched... couldn't find any info. Has anyone successfully fixed the window squeak? If so, let me know. I want to avoid taking it to the dealer and do a simple fix on my own. But if it's invovled I'll leave it up to them. Thanks in advance.

I haven't had squeak on my WRX windows, but on my Accord, I had it on the windows and moon roof. The fix is simple. Just clean the windows and rubber areas. Then get some silicone lubricant, spray it onto a cloth and wipe down the rubber with it. That will relubricate the rubber and prevent squeaking.

I figured it would be rather easy to fix. Mine started about 2-3 days after I bought it. So I don't think it's so much dirt as it is rubbing against the rubber too hard or something. I'll try to get some silicone lubricant. I'm afraid of using oil on rubber though, at least parts like that since usually (with some oils) it can cause the rubber to expand/blister. I don't want that area to get any 'tighter' than it already is. I'm assuming silicone won't make it do that. I was thinking of trying lithium based grease too. I know that doesn't make rubber expand.

Thanks for the idea.

I did the same as cnk with my WRX and the squeak went away. I seem to have to re-apply the silicone every few months or so to keep the squeaks from coming back.
