Default 07 Subie Owner

hey everyone my is Ty i just got my first Subie its an 07 WRX with minor mods like STI axle back, intake not sure of brand it very clean and less than 50K. my plans are to start with Suspension first then work my way onto Exhaust and turbo and of course tuning it for approx 300 to 350. Not really into body kits mainly lip kits and nice wheels. (NOT a Chrome Person) and maybe later add a decent stereo system nothing major.

Welcome! Car looks good! If your looking at 350+, you might want to look in to different transmissions also, WRX transmissions aren't the greatest when you starting getting in to serious mods and power.

Nice lookin ride! I want to get those mesh grills for mine. For your suspension- I just did the RCE yellows with the Tokico Dspecs. I'd recommend those! it was a great upgrade

it already has Cusco sway bars and tein springs, figured i start with like control arms and tid bits like that. I see these cars are a bit sensitive when you mod things like full, exhaust so an access port or some equivalent of that will def be needed first.

yeah you'll like the accessport, its a great upgrade! And in case you start getting conflicting info about the SPT intake, It is perfectly fine to run with an accessport stage 1 or 2. I've contacted COBB directly about this and they say it causes no issues. Power gains-NO, I thought it improved throttle response some, but its a nice intake and I've had no issues whatsoever with it...
Good luck with the upgrades

If your asking me, I'm running the SPT too. I paired it with the COBB dp and SPT catback...Runs really nice

Well 'tune' as in I just had to swich to the Stage 2 map on the Accessport, I have not gotten a custom tune on my car but that is a perfectly good option as well if you have trusted tuner in your area. The AP is just base tuning with standard 'off the shelf' maps that come pre-loaded on it

Nice car. It looks like some one added the '06-'07 STI turning vane at the top of the rear window.

Oh, and that is an STi exhaust. Not SPT. It's embossed on the tail pipe. Not that what you have is bad. I've had one for almost 8 years now.

yeah they did a few decent mods, but im saving for an access port seeing how you really cant get into any power mods with out it. Its either that ar tactrix cable.

The tactrix is a lot cheaper and does the same thing.
