Angry 907a salvage title from ny. transfer to pa.

ok ive emailed 4-5 people about this over a week ago and still no response
so im bringing it to you guys begging for some help

i bought a car in new york it has a salvage title also known as a mv-907a
well when i went to notary here in pennsylvania she told me it couldnt be done

although she wouldnt give me a straight answer as to why

can anyone give me some suggestions as to what i can do ??

why would a notary know about car laws in PA?!?!?

Call your local DMV and ask them about salvage titles, and the associated paperwork and go from there....

it was weird as soon as i mentioned salvage ny salvage car she got a weird look on her face and handed me a memo that stated they that 907a title cars were unable to be titled in pennsylvania

.....probably because they think you are trying to do something (funny)

You can make an appointment with NY DMV to have your car inspected and must show all receipts of parts and repairs,then they will issue you a clean NY title.

I picked up a porsche 944 from Vermont that was a salvage title. I tried to register it in New York, but was shot down at Motor Vehicle. Seems the states don't recognize each others salvage or "rebuilt" titles. I had to submit paperwork to the NY DMV and waited 4 months to have the car reinspected. Luckly, the car passed with flying colors! But thats what you might have to do.

What was the outcome of your title. We're you ever able to get your salvage title with no problem
