Default stock 06 sti vs. aftermarket uppipe

I'm considering installing an aftermarket uppipe. This will cost me $100 and around 4-5 hours of work. I've read that the stock 06 sti uppipe is catless. so the question is, will all of this work and the 100 bucks be worth the gains to be had. Other mods include turbo back, intake, inlet, tgv deletes, and intercooler piping if that helps with your suggestions. and yes it will be tuned after the hypothetical install. Thanks for your help

If you are trying to get every last hp out of the car then maybe its worth it. The tuners I have talked to say that all aftermarket uppipes they have dealt with have leaked and caused more problems than its worth.

I would not read the sticky thread titled Uppipe FAQ if I were you.
