I took an OBD2 test drive today to try and figure out of the noise from my Cobb intake is causing my timing to be retarded at high RPMS. Since I installed it, things flatten out after 5k.
Mods: Brullen Headers/Catback Cobb Intake ProECM What's the max spark advance I should expect to see? The most that was recorded at high loads was 29 degrees. It peaked at 40 degrees at lower RPMs. That seems to support my theory. Can anyone add any more information?

Dude, if you could figure out even peices of the stock timing map, I would be soooo grateful! I'm trying to figure out a good timing map for my link, but I'm just shooting in the dark. If you could get the map and timing map I would be so happy. If you dont its ok I understand.
This would also help a lot of other people that are in my situation. I dont think that any noise from your intake will cause timing to be pulled. You have to HAMMER on the knock sensor before it even picks up something. It is normal to have 40 degrees at cruise and up to 29 at WOT. You should check ur a/f with a wideband O2 or EGT to see how that is going. -Chav |

I'll zip up the OBD2 capture I did, you should be able to get some stuff from that. The ProECM may have an impact on the data though. (that and I continually throw p0136, bank 1 sensor 2)
I think I hogged up an O2 sensor somewhere. |
