Default need recommendation for shop to do Head Gasket

My 99 Forester 2.5 SOHC may need a head gasket replacement. Can't do myself. Any recommendations for shop in Hudson Valley/Westchester/Ct/NJ area. While engine is apart, any recommendations for replacement OEM/aftermarket heads/cams/ exhaust/intake/injectors?

Not sure if azp is doing head gaskets. If they are, they're a good shop.

If not, I can recommend a shop in the Goshen, NY area, prob 45 mins from westchester. They do great work and have reasonable prices too.

Thanks for the recommendations. What is the name/contact info for the shop in Goshen, NY. I contacted a shop in Hudson, NY called East Coast Custom who quoted me $3000. The owner talked a good talk and seemed to know what he was talking about but $3000 for a 99 Forester daily driver isn't in my budget.

You can also contact Broken Motorsports. They're in NNJ and I think they do headgaskets too.

No idea what either shop charges though. Best to call and speak to both about pricing and scheduling.

Thanks for the recommendation. Yes we do headgasket replacements for $900 + parts.

jvan- I don't know of your exact location but AZP may be closer to you than us. I would call Mike and ask for his rate.

I'm in Westchester County, about 10 minutes North of the Tappan Zee Bridge. LeHigh Valley is doable but not as close as NJ or Goshen, Ny.

Just curious - I assume $900 is when you bring a long block to the shop, right?

Ok im confused.

Ill make this easier for all to understand. Your car needs head gaskets.

Drop off car.

We pull engine and remove heads. Heads get resurfaced and reinstalled. Motor goes back in.

Bill

$900 labor

$xxx parts.

Easy?
Yesssssss
