Default Zombie Apocalypse-Are You Ready?

I have been thinking a lot about this lately. Not the army of the damned zombies, but the undead.

Trying to think of everything I am going to need for if/ when this could occur.

Obviously you have to have your food, but what about other supplies?

Guns, Ammo, Zombie Plow mod for the Countryman?

Maybe I am the only one that thinks it could happen, or maybe it's just fun to think about.

There are a few things I lack, but My list is:

Food (obviously)
AR15 and plenty of Ammo
Katana and training (for when the Ammo Runs out)
Shotgun
Sig P229 .40 (I will take my life before a zombie does)
Zombie plow for the Countryman (for when I have to run to the hills)

Anyway any of you prepped?! I know AWD Ninja Probably is.

I am completely un-prepared for this, no guns, no food supply, and no plow, although the Tahoe could probably take a few out without doing too much damage.

so my plan at this point, is run to your house!

Just get on Ksl and get you a 80-90's chev truck for the battle wagon. Mine is a beast! Not to mention they are under 1,000

And get your ammo at walmart. Its pretty damn cheap.

Oh and you have to have one of these.

my plan is to not tell you what I have. You are leaving yourself open for those undead to read how you are plotting against them.

Just got done watching The Walking Dead season 1, gave me some ideas.

#1 Never camp out in the woods, retarded idea as you can't see the zombies coming.

#2 Stay away from the cities, they are a death trap.

#3 Wherever you're camp/fort is, there needs to be a tighter and more controlled perimeter.

#4 Zombies are attracted to noise, get a crossbow and a baseball bat. A sword is too tricky as it can get stuck in their flesh. A bat gives a solid hit to the head and allows you to keep swinging at others quickly. Only use a gun with a silencer, or if the **** has hit the fan and it's a large group coming for you.

As of the moment my Zombie prep is so so. I have a 9mm Glock with 2, .45 Glock with 4 mags, old smith n wesson .45 with 3 mags, and a AR-15 with 6 clips and a couple hundred rounds. Sadly no silencers or other quiet weapons, time to get a crossbow. Thankfully pretty much all of my friends are fairly well armed, many with multiple AK's and sniper rifles/shotguns/handguns.

If I'm stuck in my house, It's not the end of the world as my windows are all hurricane glass which can take a 2x4 at 40mph. I would use drapes to keep attention away, don't want to test the glass heh. The problem is getting out of the house for supplies, my solution will be to go through the attic, making a hole in the roof. It's a temporary plan while building a team of survivors to make the 1hr travel to my boat, provided it hasn't been stolen.

But in all seriousness, given our fiddling with biochem weapons etc, how much longer do you think it is before we cause a zombie apocalypse?

I have the weapons covered.

Baseball bat
Machete
Buck Knife
Hatchett
Springfield M1 Garand .30-06
Remington 12ga Over Under (naturally would be sawed off)
FNH FiveSeven Pistol with 2x 20rd and 1x30 rd magazines
Taurus 24/7 Pro Compact 9mm w/ 13 & 17 rd magazines
Useless against zombies Mossberg Plinkster .22

I'd honestly just head to the hills far away from any metro areas, no way zombies would climb a mountain, and I know I could keep myself and the wife and dog alive for a long time.

If I were still in Utah I'd just figure out which household has the biggest food storage locker and shoot em. Currently it's the guy with the two garages full of food three down from my garage. I've already thought this through.

chris, you can't kill the person with the biggest food storage. You would get sick and die from eating it. Your body is not used to non processed food. Most people don't understand this, nor do they understand how to cook with it. You really need to be eating your food storage now and rotating it through. Most everyone in utah will end up getting sick off their whole wheat and grains they think they are storing up for the zombie wars. They will all be sick and dead in a matter of months.

nah man when i went to nicaragua it was the same deal, you just crap your pants for two months until your body adjusts to processing the new food.

also seeing as defending yourself is really about head shots you're going to want something with smaller lighter more accurate ammo. deer rifles not much use really, 17hmr or whatever it is could be very handy with extended mags. even a 22 rifle with extended mags or drums.

its either that or a machine gun that can cut them in half, shotguns good though for when you can't/don't have time to aim for a kill shot/ quick stopping power

45 handgun or subsonic bullets with silencer would be good to for dispatching without alerting the rest of the horde.
