SOLD

There comes a time in every man's life, and I'm approaching it.

Note: All vinyl is less than a year old and can be removed prior to sale without any damage or color differences.

After recently adding 70 miles to my daily commute to work I think it's time to get out of the higher power mod game and into the econobox, MPG aware, form > function world.

The car is a 2005 Subaru STi with 79K on the body and 30K on the block. Many have seen it at local shows, WBM, or being whored online.

All work has been done exclusively by ECS Performance in Windsor Locks, CT.

KBB value is $17-18K based on chassis mileage. $21-22k using engine mileage.
That said I am hoping to sell in the ballpark of $20K. Offers welcome, but please don't lowball.
Sold with everything listed below, no part out.

Any questions or offers feel free to PM me. If you know me I'm a straight forward, friendly guy who is willing to answer anything. Thank you for your interest.

As everyone has said before when selling, I hate to leave it, but the idea is playing in my head. Remember, this is just a testing waters thread so I would like to see what people have to offer.

My STi is the same 2 colors.

But mine doesn't have quite as many upgrades... and is also a POS due to a major rear end accident years back :'(

This is the feedback I'm looking for, though I personally don't agree. KBB calls for $17-18K. I don't think $19-20K with mods is out of the question.

Not too crazy. I could see it going for 18.5 or 19 easily. So testing waters at 20 isn't that bad.

mods dont add value to your car....the fact that its not the originl motor may also deter some buyers....the stripes would deter some buyers....im not trying to tell you your car isnt worth what you want, but in my experience(sold my 06 last year and the 04 wagon a couple weeks ago)....the closer to stock the more people would look at the car. Now if you have a person that is looking for a car built up like your car is, then your all set.

I would have to say that you will probably get offers right around the KBB value and lets face it.....your gonna get probably a lowball offer too

Good luck Jesse.

I was the one that did the vinyl package on that vehicle. It can be removed with no issue, with no damage.

Do you troll everyone's FS thread and quote the first post in the 2nd post?

It takes a niche buyer to buy a modded car, and I think he can find that here.

Testing waters game is over. Selling private party would be good, but I'm also looking towards a trade in as well.

If you know anyone interested feel free to spread the word. Please, don't just say "oh, you'll never get $20K" and ignore the ad, some will pay that much and others will not. I'm entertaining offers as well, but am hoping to be int he $20K ballpark.

It takes a niche buyer to buy a modded car, and I think he can find that here.
I post from the Android app 99.9% of the time, and there isn't a "Post Reply" button on the screen. If you hit the menu button there is, but its easier, and has become habbit to just click the reply button that shows up next to every post (which also quotes that post) sometimes I remember to either delete the quote, or just post it the other way. I'll try harder to remember next time for you though.

But, About the car For Sale... if I was in the market for an STi personally this would be a one I would consider. I'm never happy with leaving cars stock, so, the mods are a good selling point. Esp if they come with documentation and proof that they were done right. I'd rather pay a little more than a stock car and buy one that already has mods that I personally would want than buy a stock one then spend twice as much money and my time to do the mods myself.

And as I'm sure we all know, just because its being sold as stock, doesn't mean it was always stock, id rather know I'm buying a modified car than think I'm buying a stock car and never know what kind of life it had before being sold.

Good luck with the sale, it may take longer, but, there is always someone who this car would be perfect for and doesn't mind the price.

Saw this car on the highway yesterday. Looks good. I don't think $20k is too high, just need to find the right buyer. You might have better luck if you take all the vinyl off.
