The leather on the side of the seat is cracking after 31.5K miles on my 2009 Forester XT. Is that something covered?

I would be surprised if they did, leather needs user maintenance i.e. cleaning and most importantly conditioning.
Otherwise overtime and use it looses its softness and cracks. |

NORMAL wear and tear is covered....the key word being 'normal'
However, if you wear a belt or something that has sliced or put holes in seats, then that would be an iffy situation. |

I also highly doubt they will replace worn seats. Broken yeah but not worn from getting in and out. |

I have 85k on my car and the stitching just separated in the middle of panel where my butt goes. was wondering if this would be covered, but i doubt it. i certainly don't want to try pulling the leather cover off myself to have it repaired.

^ Your car is beyond the basic warranty. I doubt an extended warranty would cover a wear type item.

Can I bring my car to you? ;P Left back driver bolster (08 STi, 30k) is creased/wearing quite a bit more than I would expect. Not actually cracking though. Dealer shot me down; said it would have to be pretty bad to be covered. (they have been good to me in the past.) I guess there are 4 other local dealers I can try...

How's your weight? The M3 I bought a few years ago came from a 250 - 280 pound gentleman. Though the car only had 12,000 miles on it he had already worn out the side bolsters in the driver's seat because of his, ahem, portliness.
