Default Volvo turbo question

I know this is a subaru forum, but this is a pretty general issue I believe. I just did a head gasket job and timing belt on an 87 turbo volvo 760. We got everything back together and torqued to the specs in the book and it drove as it should have. Well, we were driving and the car dies out of no where, we come to realize that the crank pulley bolt had come loose so it wasn't spinning(It was torqued properly). We thing the timing may have been thrown off so we redid the timing belt all together. This is a non-interference engine so I am assuming bent valves are out of the question all together, but for some reason the engine will not turn over. We checked for spark and fuel, we have both but for some reason it will just not turn over. It ran fine before the crank pulley accident. Also, when we were trying to get the engine to turn over there was so much pressure in the intercooler charge pipe that it blew completely off and hit the hood of the car. The engine was at TDC on a compression stroke when we put the timing belt on, so that was all done properly and the engine spins freely and everything. I am pretty much stumped. Hopefully I didn't leave anything out and hopefully someone can help me a little.
Thanks!

We are thinking it may be the crank position sensor, but its located on the bell housing from what I understand and was never touched.
