How interesting. The comparison between GC and the factory-fill kinda looks like, with the engine more broken in now, you have triple the insolubles and higher fuel content (lower flash) after only ~50% longer run vs. the factory fill.

Factory fill was replaced at 700 miles. All analysis above are GC samples

I remember getting the stuff on sale for around $4.00 a quart by the time you factor in the Autozone rewards card, that I abused quite frequently. IIRC I had darn near 60 quarts of GC when it was harder to find. Sold my Roadmaster, and sold most of the GC. Now running it again, I was surprised to see it's like $8.00/quart at AZ. Pepboys was running a special with some high end bosch filter and 5 quarts for like $22.99 after rebate. Will use the filter for the sister's Jeep, and I now have 30 quarts again ![]() |

So aren't these results basically the same as I predicted without even seeing he uoa? Actually, I should go find that post and quote myself.
![]() Hey bulwnkl - I know this method of determining fuel % from the Flashpoint isn't nearly as accurate as some other methods, but are you saying that there is dilution based on that small drop in FP? That FP # rarely changes with BS. -Dennis |
