if they really wanted this to be subaru vs evo they should have raced stock for stock with two competant drivers and then maybe like $2k in mods for each and run the same races. not two differently modified cars with one driver that specializes in corners and one that "specializes" in the one type of racing with a less intricate track than nascar.
too funny... but true, although the drag is fun it's not where the competition goes down...

I call BS. Is that crank or wheel HP?

Does a 3500lb car with 335hp = a 12.2 quarter mile?

That's why I was driving with my hair on fire for the other two sections, had to make up lost time!!

It's funny, the STI had only a downpipe and AP (OTS map)...and decent coilovers. I think we were closer to "stock" than most Subaru owners would modify their cars, but I was told that was the point of this matchup....have common bolt-on modifications that the average Joe would have, not a crazy Time Attack car. The Evo was somewhere inbetween, but we both had lots of fun out there!
congratz on the win, great driving and that's an awesome STI. Did you get a chance to do a pass on the 1/4 mile after you fixed your car?

First off congrats to James he was the better driver that day. He did a great job and I ran my best and he beat me. I have no problem posting that. I would consider James a good friend and a great driver. And as for the part in the video were I said BARLEY that was edited. At the end of the night we were doing the interviews and when they asked the question about the auto cross I said he won barely. They would not let James or I know what the times were. But I knew it was real close. It's funny how TV edits thing to make it seam like more. I am in no way a ass or a bad looser. They were telling use all day that James and I were not talking enough smack. That wasn't why we were there, we showed up to race and have a good time.
As for my car it does make 335hp and 345TQ but they did have the weight wrong. Its 3450 with driver. This race was my first autocross and slalom I have ever ran. No matter what I gave it what I had and James gave it more.

+1 Josh is a class act, and there is no need to bash or belittle another driver to make yourself (or our forum) feel superior. Thanks to all who recognize this, and let's keep NASIOC classy San Diego!
