Maritimers....

Hey guys, just wondering if we have a maritime meet comming up sometime soon. I live in charlottetown, and I know there are 3 WRX's (including mine) here. I think it would be cool to have a meet sometime this summer!

BTW: Was anyone on here in Charlottetown today (thursday july 18th)? I saw a WRB WRX with what looked like superleggeras at source for sports this afternoon around 3:30 pm. Never got a glimpse of the plate as I was in a rush, by the time I rolled back around it was gone.

Hoi Hoi,

I tried to organize a Meet in Shediac, but i didn't have the time. I think we should all meet.

WRB wrx?? wasn't yours, we have OZ wheels but ours is a silver wagon.

I saw you post on lowmotion.org, but I got kicked out of the forum, so I couldn't write to you.

Kicked out? For what? Yeah, I got some new superleggeras, just waiting on frickin tires! Grrrr. They said it would be 3 days, but it's been a week and they won't be here for another week. It's killing me waiting! haha. So about how many scooby people would you expect if we had a meet in august? I would like to meet some fellow scooby people and see what they have done to their rides. I only have the Forge BOV and the superleggeras so far but I have tons of other stuff on order.

Got kicked out....hahahaha...well you know the guys from Moncton right....bad language is an understatement!!!!

Cool got a few more guys...the maritime crowd is growing bit by bit. Well the only mod I have to show is my dear trunkmonkey.....but it's good bang for the buck...he helps me out with the ladies! I probably won't get any mods before next year so I'll just have to drool at your mods!

So DO did you hear about the racing they had at the track in Shediac last night? I heard rumors that they are raising money to build a drag strip. Any confirmation of this?

Yeah, I got the chance to meet John Paynter (the maritime subaru rep and also the driver of the Blue WRX Wagon Rally Car) a few months ago and he said subaru was getting better about mods. As long as I don't go nuts, slap on a huge turbo and then complain when the engine fails. He even gave be some tips on what to mod first! haha. He is a very cool guy, if we arranged a real meet I will give him a call and ask him to come too! He'd love to see more scooby love around here I am sure. Yeah I got the boot... I think I bruised their egos. I have some Acadian blood pumping through my vains; makes for a quick temper.

I don't know how much cars would show up for a meet...
I would like to meet scooby owners, the more the better.

Choose, yeah I heard about that too. The next event is the 22 of August. The owner is trying to see if there is enough interest. I didn't have time to go see it though.

I'm a Maritimer from Grande-Anse, NB (near Bathurst)..but I now live in California! Would take me a while to drive to any maritime meets!

Good to see some home blood here!!

Funny how this got bumped and I come across it now. That could have been me. I was out for that week doing some camping, and I did buy a tent at source for sports. However I've got BSS wheels not superleggeras.

"I saw a 2002 red Impreza wagon with California plates parked in front of the Chapters here in Moncton, New brunswick, . Somebody was up for a nice long road trip to see the crazy canucks!! Now what I found cool about this car was that it had a kayak and 2 bikes on the the top of it! Now that's what I call a real road trip! This guy or girl has to be an I-club member....who else would do such a thing?!?!!"

Although I do race MTB's and used to live in Ottawa, no it wasn't me!

Actually I just picked up my new WRX this week!

It was a couple in their late 50's I would say. I saw them at Canadian Tire. For people that seemed so active, they parked in a handicap zone

Well.....I spent my time drifting around during the storm so I guess if it storms...I could still drive down!!! Driving around or driving somewhere what's the diff?!?! ...and way much better than freezing my ass at home!!!!

I did real crappy at the last one. I had the RE92's on and couldn't get any turn-in response or any stopping traction. So, I went out and bought the OEM winter tire package. Now, if I do crappy all I can blame is my driving. Or, the WRX's power...
