Talking Rallycars book by Reinhard Klein

I just got this book yesterday & i can't put it down...597 pages of pure rallying, filled with tons of color photos & good text, starting back in the 50s bringing it up to 2000-the evolution of a rallycar from standard production car w/ a halda speedpilot bolted in thru homologation specials,groupB,AWD-this heavy tome has it all...nice upclose cockpit & dash & engine etc...(including a great 2 page spread of the Scooby 2000WRC cockpit & 6 shots of the different display pages on the dash!)...Reinhard Klein is photographer for Rallycourse annual & also Autosport mag, this book is supergroovy...i used to have a copy of Graham Robsons "A-Z of works rallycars",but it was a bit dry & bland like a dictionary-this book is the most comprehensive study on the subject i've ever seen... http:www.rallysportonline.com has it for 40 bucks, http://www.millhousebooks.com in the UK has it for 20 pounds(do a search for "rally" & you'll turn up a impressive list of books, shipping takes 3-6 weeks)...i'm just stoked such a nice big monster book like this finally got published...

Thumbs up

I've had that book for a year. It is the best rally book there is, and an absolute bargain.
