Default Code 11 - Crank Angle Sensor

I have a constant problem with the crank angle sensor.

After I get the car to operating temp. and stop for 15-20 minutes, it won't start again. Using the 'memory read' connectors I got the code 11 - crank angle sensor.

If I leave the engine to really cool down or if I start it while it is still hot, it starts OK.

If I touch (or knock upon) the sensor (with my hand or a tool) and try to start the car again, it usually starts (sometimes I had to 'knock' it a bit more), which leads me to bellieve it's just a bad contact.

I've checked the connector and cable, I even took it apart, cleaned it up, re-soldered it, but the problem persists.

Now a have a couple of Qs:
1. How much should this sensor cost (approx.)?

2. Could I possibly use some non-OEM sensor and which?

3. Is it possible to take the sensor apart without destroying it? I suspect a bad soldering job somewhere inside the sensor.

Thanks, D.
