Default Gimmick Motorsports fmic from import image racing.....review/pics of/after install

I received this kit on friday and installed it by myself same day. took about 7hrs from start to finish. after the install i took it for a few pulls behind the philly airport and the top end is much much better then my old aps tmic. It alson seems to hold boost better and actually hit target boost of 17lbs(aps would only hit 15.5 maybe 16) by 4200rpms off a vf30. holding the boost better may be from the new turbo xs bpv josh added in for me. the piping color is a dam good match and im all around happy with how smooth the install went. as seen i have fog covers but the fog light housing is still behind the covers. id have to say for the price it is a great kit. well see if it holds up in the long run as i plan on doing a 6speed swap next yr and a engine swap the following with a dom 3 or 4.
p.s. the part that took the longest was cutting the bumper....pain in the a$$

There are multiple, multiple threads on this thing.
You are also in the wrong forum.

yea i didnt really know where to post so in general it went. and i am still to see any pictures of it installed on peoples cars.

acceleration is much better after about 2500rpm but initial response of the throttle is a little noticeable.

is it possible to get your stock BPV on there instead of a BOV?

You did a clean install.

I've seen other pictures on the core of this very intercooler. I swear to God, an ogre could stick his fingers between the fins.

You sure?

I'm not saying there will be no difference between FMIC and TMIC but compare a higher end intercooler to a ebay cheapo brand one there has to be a sacrifice somewhere.

This guy did an awesome job testing the efficiency of an STi TMIC and an knock off Ebay one, pretty neat stuff.

I just switched from a aps tmic and yes it feels much better. I use to have a css fmic witch I just sold to some1. the difference between the two fmic s I must say is a big difference with throttle response hitting target boost and holding it that being the gms seems superior to the css. Just maybe the gms isn't crap like the ebay ones...that possable? And I actualy requested a turbo xs fmic with the price was near same without paint and shipping.
