Default Cobb Stage 1 +sf intake 93 octane concerns

I am worried about how my car is running. This is a third gear pull that I logged tonight. Hoping that it is not any major problem, but before the intake I didn't have any knock once I was getting higher into the rpm. Thanks for any help.

well, I'd say this makes sense. An intake should make your engine more volumetrically efficient, if designed well, and that tends to happen in the upper rpms from the dynos I've seen, so I'd wager you need to pull a bit of timing from 5500 up to 6500.

Or if you're not doing your own timing adjustments, then PM lance @ cobb, or just wait until they chime in. I'm sure they wouldn't mind helping you get your map straight. I'd say it does need attention though, as that high rpm knock in steady state conditions is generally unhealthy.

That's certainly a reasonable move. You may want to log another few pulls at different temps and see if it was related to that (i.e. morning, afternoon, etc...)

While not ideal, seeing minor learned corrections like that from time-to-time is not uncommon over time. Switching down to the 91 octane mapping may help eliminate those corrections and provide some peace-of-mind. Thanks for your questions and please let me know if I can be of assistance in any other way.

Best regards-
Lance
