ok i have a few questions for you all. I maybe buying used headers and they seem to have a crack, how much and where can i go to get that fixed? these are borla headers.. woudl a mitikee do it? how much usually? and i also heard about rewrapping them? wraapping them with what? how much? ok.. now i have a minam intake with a knn filter, the radom tech 2 in 1 cat and the apex ni catback exhaust..the car is 2.25 and the apex is 2.5 does that really matter? and i shoudl def go with a safc after the headers right? because i changed out all my airflow to aftermarket? or what? what should i do? thanks.....

-It depends on what they are made of. My SS old gen Borla's cracked many times and I had them welded at a local shop. Any exhaust/muffler place should be able to do it...since mine was a local place it was free. You might get charged by a chain.

-Mitikee? I don't know who that is. If it's a muffler shop, then they probably could. And I see these are Borlas which are definitely weld-able.

-Free if they like ya, $10 if they don't know you...any more than that you shouldn't pay. Well...maybe $20. More than that, find another shop.

-RE-wrapping? Unless the prior owner wrapped 'em...they don't come that way.

-With header wrap of course! Any good "speed" shop will carry the stuff, or you can order it online from someone like www.summitracing.com Since the Borla is SS you shouldn't have to worry about water getting trapped between the header wrap and the header and causing rust. Wrapping WILL void the warranty on them...but if you are buying them used, the warranty is gone anyway.

-Not really...but I don't understand what you mean by "the car is 2.25". The stock header is 2.25, but you are going to replace that with the Borla. 2.5 inches is perfect for a car that will get some mild-ish N/A mods. 2.25 for basic N/A mods. 3 for eventual turbo. But the difference you'll feel between 2.25 and 2.5 is really minor, probably.

-Maybe, maybe not. Check what your A/F readings are or EGTs are before dropping the cash on the SAFC. Remember, it only has a real effect at WOT. I, personally, even knowing that my A/F ratios need some tweaking...don't want one. I'd rather save the $$$ for a better system...Link2 or TEC, etc.

-Again...that may not be the case. Test first before spending.

-You may want to ask your questions differently next time. People will be more eager to respond.
-Cracked Borla Header: Chances are it's going to crack again...and again...and again. You can get a new one, so it seems, for $309. Unless you are paying $100-$150, don't buy it. That's my opinion. It will NEVER stop cracking unless you do some serious work to it...and an that point, why would you want to?
-Intake/Exhaust and SAFC: Think about what your eventual plans with the car are. Going out and buying random parts is NOT the way to do this. If you want reliable power...and don't want to be constantly buying new things...plan out your purchases. Intake, exhaust and pulley are a great start for power mods. After those...get and A/F and/or EGT gauge to see what is going on with the car. Maybe you need air and fuel corrections...maybe you don't. Drive the car around like that for a while... Do you like it? Do you want more power? Plan these things out...trust me.
