Default Still confused(SAFC)

I did a search, and im still a bit confused. So if some on can break this down for me and others i would appreciate it. Can i use a SAFC on my o2 EJ25. Will it work? If not due explain in the most simplest terms so i can get this out of my head. Also will the rev speed meter work correctly, i have heard of some members not being able to get all the functions to cooperate. Any info is appreciated, if i can get the facts i can lay these issues to rest.

thank you for the reply. Is there any difference in running it on an o2 impreza. I know i dont have a mass air flow sensor, but instead a Map. I m having a brain freeze, basically if it will work on a 2001, should i encounter any problems on an 02.
