Default Dyno day - suby meet - free food and soda - 07/27 - Pruven Performance - Milford CT

We have 18 guys already signed up for dyno pulls

In addition to the dyno runs - IF we can get 20 guys to dyno - (which we prob will) - there is going to be free pizza at 11;00 a.m. and then again at 3:00 p.m. and free sodas

There is a huge parking area with room for over 150 subys

Everyone is invited to come on down - meet talk subys and watch and listen to the dyno pulls - seems like we should have at least 20 people comming already

If anyone else is interested the dyno runs consisit of THREE (3) dyno pulls with cool down time between - - a/f ratio testing and print out of all three runs - - the cost is $75.00 - - post here if you are interested and I will add you to the list

It should be a interesting day and a nice chance to see some fast subarus - and talk about mods - I know there are many different mod combinations commintg e.g. one wrx with the Link and bigger turbo - one with a prodrice ecu - one with the unichip so we will see some interesting dyno results

I think that most of us will be up at the Maine Forest ProRally that weekend.

Have fun, though!

$75.00 for three runs? That's an amazing price- isn't it usually like $100 for the first run, and $60 for each additional one or something like that?

I would go, if I gave a crap about my car's horsepower. (And if I wasn't going to Maine already)

Do they have a wideband O2 sensor and will it be available for use with or without an additional charge to the $75?

Thanks,
Fitz

... and please enlighten me a it more about how they retrofitted a 2wd dyno so that it can run AWD and "read hp for the front and rear axles independently."

Thanks,
Fitz

Fitz - they have a very nice wideband 02 sensor - the reading is free during this dyno meet - but usually 30 per hour more

They have a dyno jet in ground dyno - - it has worked flawlessly for me and i have about 70 runs on it

Where did you hear this? I've seen their dyno and it's certainly a 4wd unit, but that front/rear data sounds interesting.

I'll be stopping by to watch, but no runs. I need a dyno tuning session, not just pulls.

Bill, Dan told me it would be $250 to tune and dyno a 4wd car. So that may answer your question from the other thread. I have no idea if that's a good price or not, though I'm tempted to go straight to the source and have the TXS guys tune me sometime.

I've been down to TXS a couple of times in the past - - which ever way you go - - if you want to get the max power SAFELY out of your car its tough to beat a good tunner on a dyno - - - I street tunned my tec II - it took a real LOT of time and frankly - required me to drive at just insane speeds on public highways while manipulating lap tops and watching gauges!

Straight from their web page...

Quote:
Pruven Performance has stepped up it's level of dyno service in Northeast. We are proud to announce our in-house Dynojet has been expanded for AWD cars! This AWD Dynojet model measures front and rear axle hp independently so you get to see what's going to the front wheels and what's going to the rear.
Although I'm interested. Throw me down for a definite..if possible sometime in the morning as I need to work later on that afternoon.

Thanks,
Fitz

Hey thanks for finding out the price. That doesn`t sound bad.

I just don`t think I`ll have enough mods done to make it worth my while.

I think I might swing by and check out the cars.

What times does this start? I don`t want to miss Fitz

I'm tempted to see how much higher my numbers will be on a non-weight bearing dyno.

Is this open to any modded cars? I have a friend with a sick, newly turbo'ed 200SX

Is there still room for people to dyno their cars? Just waiting on my muffler to come from CA, then im throwing the rest of my mods on. Ill need to tune my car within the week, so that would be convenient. Thanks.
