Default catalytic converters, early legacy

I was reading one of the south american subaru web sites and it said that even though the legacy was introduced in 89 it didnt get a catalytic converter until 92.

Now I didnt go out to look at my car, but I would assume it has one. Anyone know for sure?

2? I would have expected one cat and one resonator. How can I tell when I go out to look at it?

There should be two forward of the resonator, I have to run out right now, but will check my FSM for the 90 when I get back. I could be thinking of another vehicle.

My '01 and '97 have two cats in front of the midpipe. The '90 appears to have one in front, and one built into the midpipe. If that's not a cat, then it's the funniest looking resonator I've ever seen, and why shield it if it's a resonator?

There are two.

There really isn't a resonator.....or non that I could see. There's a forward collector......where the O2 sensor goes into....think this is the first cat.....then there's one mid way back.

The difference is that the 2nd Cat on the 90 is part of the midpipe itself. On the newer gens, there are two in front and a resonator.
