Default Transmission ID Chart

Transmission ID Chart_Public.pdf

Our original transmission code identification chart has taken on a life of its own and seems to have been widely reproduced on websites worldwide (with no credit given usually). So I have finally gotten around to updating it as much as possible. Hope this is useful to all you guys doing swaps or trying to identify drivetrains. Anyone with additional data should email me so I can try to make it as complete and accurate as possible.

Ouch!

Two days earlier with this posting would have saved me $700. I have been hunting the final drive ratio for a TY754VSAA for well over a week but that number has escaped most lists.

If anyone is hunting a manual gearbox there is an excellent listing on Ebay for this unit with 48-51k miles at $499! To save one the time, based on the list posted above the ratio is 3.90:1.

Today I received the email copied below. As you can see, even Subaru cannot properly identify transmission number TY784VSAAA.

Paul,

Thank you for your patience. The number that you shared with me is not coming up in the system. However, there are a couple of numbers that were close to what you gave us.

Please double check the number.

Our Service department found these: TY754VCAAA & TY754VAAAA.

I just noticed this updated version of the transmission chart. Thanks for taking the time to keep this up to date and sharing it with the subaru community. I have been working off of a copy of the old list that only went up to 2007.

Why can't you download the .pdf with the android app? Using the android browser = a loop of sign in to download the file then the loop starts over.

Are you using a mobile browser? I had trouble trying to download it on my android running cm9.1 stock & Boat Browsers. I gave up and used FF on Win7.

zman519, thanks for trying to help with the chart. I managed to download it just now on a different computer. Not sure what the problem was on the other system. I'm wondering if there is a similar chart for automatic transmissions.
