Default Intake for new MY99 2.5RS MAF?

I'm sure you guys already heard about the recall on our sensitive MAF. I've just gotten it replaced and I'm sure most of you who are reading this already done so or know about this recall.

If they're reliable as i've heard
shouldn't some1 come up with proper intake for our car?
Its about time MY99 get proper intake aftermarket support without fear of blowing MAF. I would get one if there is one specifically designed for the new MAF

or...

can we use intake used by later models?

There were several intakes made for the MY99 2.5RS. Minnam, JC sports, Rallispec, Weapon-R to name a few. I believe Injen currently makes one too. These will all work with the new MAF since only the sensor has changed. As for reliability????? That remains to be seen. I strongly doubt anybody will specifically make an intake for the new sensor since the functionality should be the same as the old. Hopefully the reliability will be better. HOPEFULLY! Don't hold your breath though. As for me, I am taking the plung and adding an intake. My own PRM concoction using the stock airbox.

Thumbs up

Cobb Tunning is in the process of developing a cold air intake system for the MY99 2.5RS. I spoke with the guys from Cobb Tunning because I am also looking for a reliable intake system for my MY99 RS and I want to make sure that there won't be any problems with the MAF.. Anyway they said that they are in the process of testing it and making sure that they don't come across any problems so it should be on the market towards the end of this year.. You could always go with the other models that Fred mentioned but as for me I'm waiting for the one from Cobb Tunning.. This is what it should look like...

Isn't that the Larry Ganz intake for MAF cars? Why wait for Cobb to release it when you could get one from Larry Ganz?

Beacause I'm not sure if they are going to use the stock filter or if the intake kit is going to be hooked up directly to the intake manifold...

Default Ganzflow was one of my choice

Ganzflow is one of my choice... still stands out the most and i'll probably end up getting it if nothing else comes out
it would be interesting to see what Cobb comes up with.

Honestly, I'm not in favor of sacrificing low end, therefore pipe that directly goes to throttle body isn't one of my top prospect ( ex. Cobb and Injen )

Or you could make a Cobb fit now, all it takes is a little cutting
