Yeah, I won't be available this summer to enjoy my car nearly as much as I planned to, so I figure what's the point? Plus I've lost focus on everything important to me besides this car, so I'm looking for some stability and a fresh restart.

I'll jump back in the Subaru game soon, just need to take a step back right now.

This sale is different for me because I actually LOVE this car more than the Forester or STI. It's just time for me to grow-up, though.

Newmaniac will be carrying the torch anyways once his 2012 STI gets here. Who knows? I might even join him. I threatened to get the EXACT same car and options as him just to make him feel that less special.

I also don't want people assuming that I can't "afford" the WRX. I can pay for the WRX just fine, but I don't have much room for anything else (such as plane tickets for vacation, IMAX movie every weekend, video games, taking people out to eat or other stuff that I would LOVE to blow my money on sometimes).

With the way you go through cars, you might want to think about leasing lol.

Eric has a valid point. Ur wasting money by not leasing at this point.

Also, sometimes u must rid urself of all the materialism that plagues this society in order to readjust our own bearings of what really matters. Better to work to be free and enjoy life than to work solely to pay for the debt and things that prevent us from what we truly love. Its just a car. You can buy another later. Enjoy life to its fullest, travel, see the world and meet good people everywhere. just saying. Good luck with ur sale!

They don't call me The Importer for nuthin'.

BTW, isn't a lease for a fixed term? My average turnaround since the STI has been 9-11 months. I don't think that falls into preferred leasing terms.

Also, I'm 50/50 in my vehicle turnout rate. I kept my Loyale, Pathfinder and RS as long as I could, over a year (several for the RS). You guys are only noticing because I didn't get into this forum until I started modding and then got the STI to ensure I wouldn't jack anything up (mod-wise) starting about 3 years ago.

In any case, I ALWAYS intend to keep the cars, so leasing will never be an option.

Everyone's always right in hindsight.

In any case, inform anyone of interest about the vehicle I'm selling, not my spending habits. Thanks!

P.S. - Plus, you guys, I'm Black and Mexican: I steal from myself and trade out after a short while. Yeehaw, son!

$29,500? Good luck getting that with 10.5k miles on it and almost 7 months old (including a winter). That's almost exactly what I just paid 3 weeks ago for my own brand new 2011 Limited DGM WRX and mine came with the SPT catback installed (although minus the short throw shifter, underseat sub and boost gage). I would think you would need to drop a couple of k off to hope to sell it with a year's worth of mileage, to be perfectly honest. Good luck, though.

Thanks. I mentioned that I was selling it for what I owed. People can wait for me to pay it down as they've done previous times before, I'm not worried. I could use the extra money, but I'm not dying.

Also, you probably paid invoice, right? Our ONE local dealership doesn't play that game, believe me. I paid full MSRP with options.

In my opinion, the price is a tiny bit high, but I'm also throwing in a bunch of stuff that I have no use for (extra speakers, winter tires, blah blah blah). To each their own, but I'm already getting a few inquiries, so I'm not sweating it.

I appreciate the "reality" check, though. If you really want to laugh at me you should check out the thread from when I tried to sell my 2001 RS coupe.

I suppose it would be higher in Alaska (everything is higher up there; I visited Alaska a little less than two years ago). As near as I can tell, I paid around $800-1000 over invoice (including the catback). Invoice is $27309, but this has the $800+ catback and blue-led illumination so it's closer to $28309 and they gave me $29,500, I think (don't have the receipt with me here). Another family member bought a car from them the same day (I went with them) and I was able to get them invoice on a Legacy. They told me they don't normally drop the price on a WRX (especially when it's the only one they had in stock with the Japan thing going on), but I think helping them to make two sales in one day moved them. I held out longer (telling them I thought the catback exhaust was too loud for listening to serious music and so I would have to do some sound deadening in the trunk) and they upped their offer from 9500 to 10,500 on my '04 WRX that had 80k miles on it (saying that would basically take the money off for the catback) making the total out the door price right around $21k.

I live in Ohio.

Thanks guys. Lower 48 people can be pretty clueless sometimes. I understand, though. We ARE Soviet Alaska, after all!
