Looking good man. How are the air temps in the bay with the turbo blanket compared to a heat shield?

Generally it sits around 5F higher than the outside temp when in motion.
When at a stand still, the heat soak is still pretty much the same but takes longer to climb in temp.

Ok so an update with the catch can situation.

Without running dual cans, with my 2 port Can my plan will be to hook the return hose from the heads breather to the can. Then the vented oily air from the pcv and heads I will join to one using a tree to feed into 1 single hose to the can. Then simply plug off the pcv return port.

I'll get this done in a few days and post install photos.

Sorry took so long to get the photos up. Been busy this past week and weekend haha.

Anyhow, catch can done! And yes i know the bay needs cleaning. Winter isn't over yet here :P

PCV hook up. As you can see, a perfectly sized plug was machined for me to cap off the pcv inlet point.

The T and L are barbed and the hoses are super snug so I'm not too concerned with spots that are not clamped. Anyhow, this is how I solved my problem of having only one 2 port catch can. By joining the pcv and heads breather with a T.

I HIGHLY recommend using a catch can over an aos. After seeing the crap that comes out of our motors and into those hoses, I wouldn't want that crap going back in my oil...

Thanks guys!

As it stands project will be on hold for a while.

I'll probably grab some new wheels at some point soon but for now the next upgrades you will see will be supporting mods for e85 and a push for roughly 350awhp or more.

We'll see!!

So ummm... I've found a strong craving to start a new project involving my car. And I'm just gonna cut right to it.

I have already been planning on replacing my rods, pistons and sleeving the block and adding a precision 62 turbo and supporting mods for e85 but what I've really found an interest in is before doing all that, swap over everything into one of these.

A 1978-81' Accord hatchback (photo being of an '81 LX)

I'm learning more and more how difficult this is going to be with the rust issue they've had and how a lot of them were recalled and crushed.

But yea this crazy yet fun idea to totally "racecar" the hell out of this accord is just eating at me. It would be known as the "Subonda" if I ever get this dream to become reality... At any rate this is what I would like to do upon my upgrades as it would get built into this shell and made a into a pure track car. With the downpipe coming out the fender panel of course

As for the subaru becoming a shell I would likely save up and turn it into a s203 mock up with a complete ver8 setup.

Ok before I keep rambling on, what you guys think? I'm well aware of everything I would need and have to do to make that swap work but I just want to see if I can get some sort of support/motivation that this is something everyone would like to see done.

Thanks!
