While I am thankful that we finally accomplished what we started on this front, there are a few things that are frustrating to me as I watch the news;

-I hate how they are turning this into a political platform for re-election. Just because Obama promised that we would get him doesn't mean he had anything to do with it. Give credit to the men on the ground that actually do the work. His ability to answer the phone and give the go ahead does not give him the right to take credit for a military operation. His did not serve in the military and being commander in chief doesn't mean he understands a military operation.
-It's sad that papers like the Daily News are printing news headlines that read, "Rot in Hell". I agree that he needed to be heald accountable and what happened was just. You don't kill a bear and then take a stick and poke his brother with it. Some people aren't smart.
-For people to think that this has changed anything is naive. Everytime you kill someone of this position or power, there is always someone ready to step up and take his place. In many instances they are much more willing to prove themselves through violence than those they are replacing who already have.

Don't get me wrong, as a service member we did the right thing, and given the chance I would have pulled the trigger myself. I just hope that people don't think that everything is alright now. We've created a martyr, so don't think for a minute that this doesn't motivate many to come back with force.

i honestly believe that this was a huge public relation/election stunt.
they knew where he was drank coffee with him everyday and were waiting for a rainy day to pull their wild card.
"oh the economy is down, obama's ratings are down, we need to do something that will restore moral in this country... ok pull the trigger on bin laden!"

thats how i believe it went down.

remember when that guy decided he was going to take matters into his own hands and he flew out to pakistan to kill bin laden himself (hahahhaha) but they stopped him from taking/ruining their trump card.
