Default Does anyone have a Borla Hush on a '06 STi

I've currently got a Borla XR-1 CBE hooked up to a Element Tuning Catless downpipe on my '06 STI. I felt the XR-1 was pretty quiet when I first got it but now that I've got a couple years of miles on it its a lot louder.

Does anyone in the area have a similar setup to mine but with the Borla Hush? I'm curious how much quieter this exhaust is compared to my XR-1 setup. I noticed that the Hush has a resonator which the XR-1 doesn't have and I'm curious how much quieter this exhaust is.

Thanks!

I do NOT, but I DID. I had a Hush CB w/ a Cobb DP at stg2 AP, on my /06 WRX some years ago. Long since traded in. Only able to give you my opinion, but, it was quiet. It had a fantastic low growl. Choking on peanut butter. Of all my setups, it was probably my quietest. It did NOT turn heads. That was the plus.

Hopefully you can find someone who has a similar setup to hear....

I have one on my 07 WRX with Invidia Catless DP 3" all the way back (cobb protuned vf43).

Love the sound....great low end growl and did not turn heads in an obnoxious way like the Q300 I had did. Has an OEM-like appearance as well.

I've had other owners what I have because they want similar.

I'm a fan of my Borla Hush with a catted Titek down pipe. It's not overly loud. I have a Forester so there is probably a little more drone in the cabin than there would be in a WRX, but its not bad. Very quiet below about 60mph.

I had the Hush, a Greddy SP2, stealthback with an STI muffler, and finally a Maddad.

Maddad was absolutely the quietest, for the record.

Hush was pretty quiet, too, but not dead silent and the fitment around the rear diff left a little to be desired.
