I just got mine last week actually, it took a while to get here 2 to 3 weeks but I knew that when I ordered it. It was posted on the site that the connectors I wanted were back ordered.

Overall I am very pleased with it. The new design is a little tough to get on, but once it is on it is solid as a rock.

I got the Ganzflow last year. The first drive after I put it on, I couldn't stop smiling. It's a great value - two thumbs up! The best $100 I have ever spent on a car.

I have it too. I bought it 2nd hand but I love how it makes the engine sounds. And I still get to keep my little torque box too! ( Air box) For around 100 bucks I cannot think of anything else you can buy that is better bang for buck.

which hole in the fender does this intake go in?

and what is the advantage of using the stock airbox vs. a intake pipe w/ a cone on it? (e.g. Injen)

<---newbie to the RS setup

thanks!

It goes into the hole closest to the head light.

Using the stock airbox you have a large supply of air in the airbox(torque box) at all times. So if you mash the pedal air is readily available. If you have a pipe coming off of the TB then there will not be that large amount of air there. So there won't be as much low end torque. Anyone feel free to correct me on this one.

here is a pic from Larry's Site

Eh....I should have just posted a quote from Larry's Site. http://www.imprezars.com/products.htm

Quote:
One of the advantages of this particular intake vs other intakes is that ours retains the stock airbox at the throttle body, which acts as an air-plenum or resevour of air for the engine. This serves two purposes - one is to absorb and eliminate intake pulse harmonics and improve the smoothness of the powerband and the other is as a ready supply of moving air to retain low end power when intake air velocity is lower. of the advantages of this particular intake vs other intakes is that ours retains the stock airbox at the throttle body, which acts as an air-plenum or resevour of air for the engine. That is a much better explanation.

It's worth the money. The pipe does get hot to the touch during slow traffic, however. Many times I have come home, popped the hood, and the whole pipe is hot...but hey, it's summertime, there's no cold air anyways. I've been considering wrapping the pipe with header wrap.

I don't have an airbox, I have a torque box!

What a lot of people do to help keep the air charge cold is to up beer can koozies on the tube. It insulates the intake like a can of beer!

Dustin,

I see your order from 1:09PM on Friday, but there is nobody in "sales" at the office after 5:00pm Friday until Monday.

I will pass your ETA concerns on to sales and shipping Monday.

Thanks!
