Probably the fact that the tires aren't proper for the wheels they're mounted on.

I'm not sure what lowering has to do with tires that are a smaller width than the wheels they're on.
I don't really care, I just said, "Fact," because I highly doubt you could get tirerack to stand behind it as 100% approved (or any other "reputable" place/personage).

Different is fun(ny).

^^^no sorry i dont have any others right now. im in texas as school for 2 weeks so i cant even take any for you sorry. istall took me 15min and was very easy. they are awesome and everyone asks about them

likely not.

18x8.5 +44 245/40/18 lowered around 1.2-1.4 inches on H&R springs (10k miles and no problems with my shocks yet). I don't rub at all. hell I went on a 4k mile road trip with a TON of weight in the back of my car, which lowered it substantially, and it still never rubbed on bumps or anything.

is the s tech too low for daily drive? and does the front lower than the rear?

The problem with subaru and springs is that the rear wheel arch is lower than in the front. This makes the car always look like it has a saggy but. You can buy riser shims to lift the rear like 1/2 inch. S techs are notoriously soft and lower the car almost to the bump stops. I strongly suggest a cheap pair of coilovers over lowing springs. If you end up doing camber plates too bc or stance coilovers are a cheaper way to go.

For all of those who are on H&R springs only.. (as am I) its NOT ..i repeat NOT!!! 1.2-1.4!! go to your local dealer and measure. its .75 and 1... they are quoting the '08-'10 stock ride height differences.. the 2011 was lowered slightly from the factory from the beginning. I contacted H&R and they didn't like me very much when i told them.
