I hate threads like this just as much as the next guy, so i apologize ahead of time.

In any case, if anyone knows maze02wrx (Mateo) personally could you please PM me. I recently made a relatively large purchase from him and can not get a hold of him through here or email. I hope everything is okay with him and his family first and foremost but would appreciate any info.

Thank you,
Ryan

as much as i'm getting sick of this, I'm going to give him a chance to explain the situation. Long story short though, i hope he insured this box.

ya...its not good, but in any case, i'm going to wait until this is all resolved before i say anything else. I really don't want to generate any negative feelings in here. Thanks to those who helped me find him though.

Update:

The seller has agreed to refund my money, but it's like pulling teeth getting any info out of him. If all goes according to what he has agreed to, I will have the money in my account by Sunday.

I wouldn't necessarily call this a scam so much as i would call it negligent carelessness and disregard. It appears, he fell on some hard times, but probably could have avoided this issue by going about things the right way in the first place. Regardless, I am pretty frustrated at the entire process, as I am now over budget on my build and now am scavenging to get parts on time and get the car into the shop for an upcoming event.

^^ this is exactly what Happend with me when I was dealing with him. You described pretty much exactly what was done and said to me as well, all in all he did refund my money to my paypal account and it was all good but I as well went over my budget and the time it took sucked as well but he did come through in the end

No surprise here, but he didn't refund my money within the timeframe we agreed upon. In fact, in the last couple days, he hasn't even had the common courtesy to return my messages or e-mails. I've escalated the paypal dispute to a claim, and have even considered filing a police report due to the amount of money involved. If anyone has this guys phone number or address PM me please.

Maze02wrx (Mateo Maes) has still not refunded my money nor has he sent me a reply in nearly two weeks. I want to put this information out there because from the looks of it, RMIC isn't a very huge community so maybe one of you has a way of getting a hold of him via phone, address, etc.

I feel I have been more than fair, but my patience has to come to an end somewhere, so here we are. Do yourselves a favor and do not interract with this guy in any business situation, and if you'd like to do me a favor, help me get my $1000.00 back.

I'm coming home from Afghanistan this week and will be moving my family into a new place. This money would really make things easier, since I was forced to buy another turbo to keep my car running.

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

-Ryan
