Petter's gonna kick everybody else in the ass! Yeah! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! (Please just finish, please just finish, please just finish...)

Of course, the way things are looking so far, Petter might have a chance.

I'm going to win!

oh...wait...no...that's not me.

I'd like to see Carlos Sainz win, but Tommi will probably take top honors.

Carlos has a really bad back, so he'll be driving in some agony from a bad disc and a pinched nerve. I would imagine that may take his edge off of his driving. OTH, if it doesn't, and he's able to drive through it and win, it would be a heroic drive...

A-HA!! Jamie has finally converted tot eh Sainz camp! WOOHOO!!! I knew i could persuade you tot eh dark side.

Provided that Sainz doesnt plow into a road barrier, i think he will do ok. If he gets the belts good and tightened, the jaring on his back wont be AS BAD, but it will still be uncomfortable. So i wouldent bet on seeing any money shots of him goin gover crest, or through those crazy ditches like last year.

Supposidly they are going to put a stop to that. Last year some people really went over board and dug out the ditches preaty bad to make the cars "fly" higher, and it caused several roll overs. That and drunk people throwing rocks at cars as they passed high speed sections of the route. I dont expect rally argentina to last that much longer if the same thing happens this year.

Just a shot in the dark:

1. Sainz - He's good.
2. Burns - He and SWRT are due for a win. If they dont get some manufacturers points here they might as well start planning for next year.
3.Tommi - The man, the myth, the legend. I suspect a top 3 or a nice Tommi style rollover.

my vote goes to C. McRae. It is a tough call between him and Makinen. The new Focus should work out great for C.

Subaru all the way. Burns is going to start his triumphant comeback with a win in Argentina, mark my words. It would be great to get both cars in points positions. It really sucks not being able to watch any of the event as it's happening. I guess we'll have to deal with the email updates and hopefully catch some of the action on Motorsports Mundial or whatever news is on Speedvision. GO BURNS!!!

Not sure if you guys use it, but www.rally-live.com has live updates as each car finishes each stage. You can follow the entire rally.

I don't see Subaru wining this one, unless the top 2 or 3 drop out (which can happen).
C. McRae and Makinen are the fastest in my opinion. Subaru should take CM back :-)

I can't believe that we can't watch any of this unfold. Sometimes(and only sometimes) it sucks living in America. Apparently the Aussies get like 4 hours of coverage. Can any of you guys back up this statement? Rally-Live is good though, and our only choice.

Hey, give the guy a break! He's trying extra hard to be relaxed. Not even looking at stage times. Hopefully he can make the end of this one.

Well, Makinen isn't going to win it. His car is 3WD now! He lost power to one of his rear wheels!

Solberg is now in 5th position. And Burns is still 2nd.

It's becoming a very exciting race!

Not really. I agree with Grimlock. Petter is basically trying to not worry about making it to the finnish. You can't blame the guy too much, really. I know the WRC is the highest level in the world in the sport of rallying, where guys have to have nerves of steel and ice in their blood just to compete, but in the end, Petter is still a a young guy in his mid 20's that has a ride with arguably the most popular rally team in the world. That has got to be extremely difficult to deal with. He's doing a good job of driving when he is on though, showing he can easily hold his own against the world's best. Maybe his attitude of not worrying so much and just letting things happen is paying off.

It's also good to see that David Lapworth and Prodrive have stuck behind him the entire time as well as publicly saying so. Petter knows what he has to do, no use in remiding him.

As for who is going to win, someone in a Ford or a Subaru

Top 15 after leg two:
1. 4 McRAE-GRIST Ford Focus A8 2h58'36"300 91.0 km/h 1 1

I think Solberg is a pretty decent driver. I think nerves and the hwole new experience has got the best of him the previous rallies.

Look at what happened to him today! His water bottle fell and got stock under the brake and gas pedals! And then he had only 3rd and 5th gear!

With all that mess he still managed to move all the way up to 4th place! That's just amazing!

Well, I think you were wishing for the wrong person. Gronholm, just crashed. He broke his clutch trying to get back on course.

Oh and Burns just moved up another 6 seconds! He's only 25.4 seconds behind McRae now, their's 3 stages left! Come on Burns!
