Well we finally got the parts we needed to get the car running on Friday but didn't have time to tune it. I headed to Mason Dixon Dragway during the day on Saturday and here's what I ran.
60ft 1.72 330 4.996 1/8th 7.674 MPH 91.55 1000 10.005 1/4 11.969 MPH 115.12 The big show stoppers were the TurboXS TMI, Nitrous Express wet system Fogger, ACT Clutch and another thing. The intercooler and nitrous really helped since it was in the 90s with lots of humidity. I wish I had some dyno numbers for you but since the car hasn't been tuned you'll have to wait. I thought the car was in an extremely conservative tune since my egts were barely over 800C but after my second run they were only 740C and I still managed a 12.60. I ran out of nitrous so I was just spraying extra fuel with the nitrous system! I guess hagging neck and neck with my friend's Yamaha FZ1 ran me low the night before. We have it on film and it's pretty funny to see a tubbed out camaro getting spanked half track but not as funny as the crowds reaction. He was doing this smoky burnout and all I could do was chirp my tires after they made me go through the water .I'm really impressed with the NX kit. It just has everything you need to get it hooked up properly. Definitely a kit with the imports in mind. The ACT clutch worked fantastically! I'm just using their street disc with the heavy duty pressure plate. While the pedal effort has increased slightly, clutch release is smooth as silk and not one bit of slipping once it was broken in. I wan't to give a special thanks to Ben at Kaminari, Henry at Don Beyer Subaru, NX, and ACT for getting me everything I needed in a hurry. Let's see what happens after we get it on the dyno! Phil TurboXS

Thanks, everyone!
I'll get that video up as soon as I can get my buddy to upload it to a server. It's like watching the end of "The Fast and Furious" but funny. I dogged another tubbed car on my second when I got the jump on him and he bogged. It was really funny to see their faces when I was in the staging lanes. They all had full role cages and fire suits. I'm just really impressed with the car's durability and I can confidently say it has 370+ hp at the wheels. We did dyno the car when I ran the 12.01 and we were putting out about 376 at the wheels then. I ran a faster 1/8th on this run but a slower 1/4MPH. I am at the point where I'm questioning the reliability of the transmission at these hp levels. I may stop launching with NX and since using the TXS Cast Uppipe, I have a nice wide powerband to simplify the launch and 1-2 shift. The other thing, is a thingy that makes the car run better. Thanks, Phil TurboXS |

Hello Phil,
Do you mind if I add your 1/4 mile information to the Subaru 1/4 Mile Registry? If you don't, that would be great. Also, if you get a link to the video, please let me know what the link is. If no link is possible, I'll gladly downloaded it if you can send it to me. It would be nice to see a video of the run, like Nathan's video. Thanks! |

Phil,
Let me understand something -- So with a TurboXS Stage IV and the huge TMIC you ran 12.6. Is this correct? I really want Stage IV - but I really want to make sure it gets me into 12's. I don't need to be faster than 12's. Thanks! |

I currently have a stage IV kit and can consistantly run 12.90's in 90+ degree temps. So yes it will take you into the 12's. It's a great setup and I would recommend it to anyone. |
